Murmur rubbed its head against James once more before it lied down next to him.
I will take that as a yes then.
/"You missed him, didn’t you?/"
The cat rested its head on its paws, the blue eyes not leaving James, as though it was scared that he would disappear if it left him out of its sight. Seeing her cat like this, Nyx felt that Murmur wouldn’t want to leave James’s side again. It would cling to him more than it did to her. The moment Murmur saw James, Nyx knew she would lose her cat’s favor.
Rolling her eyes, Nyx shook her head and bent down. Her hand touched James’s shoulder and shook it slightly. /"James, wake up, love./"
James played dead.
