Chereads / A Cultivator’s Conquest / Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

Brian spent the next few months intensely focusing on his cultivation, practicing the sword every day and pouring all of his energy into his training. He had matured a great deal since the tragic loss of his parents, and was no longer haunted by their memory. He had come to understand that cultivation was not something that could be rushed, and was determined to take things one step at a time.

As he trained, he wore the charred ring he had found in his old burnt home, tied to a necklace around his neck. It served as a constant reminder of his long term goals, and kept him focused on his path as a cultivator.

Despite the challenges he had faced, Brian was determined to become the strongest practitioner he could be, and he was willing to put in the hard work and dedication it would take to get there.

Brian sets out from his cottage, sword in hand, as he makes his way towards the town entrance. The forest surrounding Panam is relatively safe, but he knows it's always better to be prepared. As he walks, he reflects on how much he has grown since he first arrived in Panam. He remembers the pain and heartache he felt after the loss of his family, and how much he struggled to find direction. But through hard work and cultivation, he has managed to find a sense of peace and direction.

As he approaches the town entrance, he sees Minji waiting for him. She waves and greets him with a warm smile. "Hey Brian, glad you could make it," she says.

"Hey Minji," Brian replies, returning her smile.

"I'm looking forward to this. It's been a while since I've taken a break from cultivation."

"I know right? You've been so focused on your training lately. But don't worry, we'll make sure you have a good time," Minji says, linking her arm through Brian's as they begin to walk towards the lake.

As they walk, Brian and Minji catch up on each other's lives, chatting and laughing as they go. Despite the hardships he has faced, Brian is grateful to have such a good friend like Minji by his side. As they reach the lake, he can't help but feel a sense of contentment and happiness. He knows that, no matter what challenges may come his way, he has the strength and determination to overcome them, thanks to his cultivation and the support of his friends.

Brian and Minji sit by the lake, enjoying the warm sun and each other's company. As they eat their lunch, they start discussing the newest arrival in town, a man whom Brian had overheard in Barga talking about moving to Panam to be with his family. Brian has seen the man around town a lot and can't shake the feeling that something isn't right about him.

"I don't know, Minji. I just have this strange feeling about him," Brian says, frowning as he takes a bite of his sandwich.

Minji frowns in thought. "I see what you mean. He does seem a little off, but I can't put my finger on it."

The two of them continue to speculate about the mysterious man, but they can't seem to come up with any concrete conclusions.

Despite his reservations, Brian trusts Minji's judgement, and he knows that she would never steer him wrong.

As they finish their lunch and pack up their things to head back to town, Brian makes a mental note to keep an eye on the strange man.
