"A-rgh!" Atlanta grunted a bit, still laying on the destroyed soda dispensing machine. Her body was covered in blood bruised cut beaten and in a lot of pain, but that wasn't the most of her concerns.
After her little encounter with the strange man she now knows as gander Wade, many buried secrets she wasn't sure of were dug out from the ground. Countless thoughts crossed past her mind, as she processed all what he said.
'Why does it feel like he's right.' She thought, as some of what he said made sense to her ears. She'd felt something off when sole picked the call, and the expression on his face turned really serious. Not knowing why but having a gut instinct she begged him not to go, sensing something bad would happen. but alas, it was just a gut feeling she felt.
'W-why didn't they send backup? T-they sent him there alone to die, and the worst part is I wasn't there with him.' Her eyes became teary as her voiced cracked a bit, with tears slipping down her cheeks as she imagined the amount of pain sole went through, before his head was forcefully ripped out from his body.
And at that moment she could feel her whole world crumbling before her eyes again, and this time it hurt more. The burden guilt all fell on her, on her incapability to protect her only friend.
[Atlanta you shouldn't make rash decisions right now. Your mind is foggy, you need to clear your head and think straight.] Nexus softly said, knowing which road she was slipping to and it wasn't a good one.
'Straight. Ha.. nothing's straight anymore. Infact.. I don't know what's real and what's fake anymore. For all I know, you may kill me if you got the chance.' She calmly spoke in a low tone staring upwards at the ceiling, her eyes void of life. Nexus paused for a minute, remaining silent before speaking again.
[If I wanted you dead wouldn't you think you'd already have been? Not all things meet to the eye like they seem.] Nexus spoke, his tone containing a hint of anger as he turned silent.
'Nexus i-' she wanted to speak but didn't know what to say. She had emotional breakdowns at certain times and now it showed in it's fullest, and she'd also managed to hurt the being literally with her forever.
'Am sorry..' she apologized not knowing what to say, Nexus didn't respond still angry but she didn't blame him, he deserved to be.
It had been about about 30 minutes since she'd fought gander's sentinents, and some of her wounds had healed. but that didn't stop her hp from going down, as it had now entered a hundred and something.
[HP: 193/300]
[User's health points will continue to deteriorate until host kills someone!] The system message flashed before her eyes, and a bitter smile slowly formed on her face. 'Looks like the system only counts kills of living things.' She concluded, seeing the system didn't count the robots she killed.
'That's it, am officially a vampire.' She chuckled a bit, but it only made her cough up more blood as she laid on the cold metal. Gritting her teeth she fought through the pain struggling to stand to her feet, she could hear some of the bones that were already healing snapping again but she didn't care, forging forward.
"Argh!" She grunted as the sudden pain of abruptly standing up fell on her, causing her to stumble off balance clenching her chest.
"Ha.. pho-ugh." After about a few minutes she then slowly got up to her feet, feeling some life enter into her legs. Looking round she still saw everyone frozen in their spot, the floors stained with blood dying some parts of it red.
'Boom! Huh?' Turning she heard a sound not too far away behind her, she could trace it but she had an idea of what was going down, as she could hear various shooting sound with weapons clashing against each other followed by small explosions.
More than curious to see the big five in action, facing another of the intruders possibly the same as gander, she followed the sounds. Her body was injured and hadn't fully healed, as she still wasn't in a condition to fight or it would be futile.
She proceeded towards the exit but stopped before exiting the room. looking back, she contemplated either to stay with these people most especially Rhoin or leave.
'They should be safe for now.' Atlanta decided, not sensing any threat coming after them anytime soon. And besides she bet she could easily make her way back here, since the fighting ongoing was just a few meters in case any unwanted person shows up.
"I'll be back Rhoin~" She muttered, as her body exited the room. Leaping a bit she made her way past about four rooms, the sounds of fighting growing louder with each room she passed. Stopping at the sixth, she could clearly hear the sounds of weapons shot at each other.
'What?' Opening the door she could see the big five all of them, including zero all had their weapons in their arms. Their faces were filled with anger and pain, as they charged forward to the strange lady with red eyes in front.
"Hmhmm.. don't hold back Please.. the fun is just getting started." Zelina slyly smiled, clanging her two arms that had now hardened into a strange kind of silver metal.
"D-don't give up.." zero softly said, glancing a look back at the others.
"W-we won't. we'll fight with everything we've got!" They all shouted tightly gripping their weapons, their expressions hardened fixating their peery eyes at zelina.
"Ha.. what a bunch of losers, this is too easy." Zelina chuckled stomping her foot to the floor, crushing the white hard floor going a bit deeper down.
'This.' Atlanta saw zelina standing there in a fighting stance and the next moment she stomped her leg, her body had appeared in the center of the big five besides gin.
"Fuck!" Gin could only curse, as he barely blocked the iron fist sent to his head.
'Clang!' The sound of metal clashing against metal resounded in the room, as zelina's iron fist collided with gin's blue strange axe hammer. Her punch packed a lot of power as it sent gin flying backwards, crashing to the floor blood slipping from the small cut on his head.
'J-just a fist managed to do that to one of the big five.' Atlanta stared in shock, seeing zelina casually swing her fist at gin's head. 'And she was holding back.' She could sense zelina didn't use half of her strength holding back a bit in her punch, but it had not just sent gin flying but also drawn blood out.
Getting up gin had a frown on his face as his head still hurts, a bit dizzy from zelina's punch.
'That attack.. it was just from her sheer power.' Gin knew she didn't have any other equipments on, apart from the two metal silver arms.
'What the hell is she made up of..' he thought, but didn't have time to linger deep in his thoughts as he sensed an attack from the side. Shifting his body a bit he managed to dodge the kick to his head, slashing his double axe hammer down to zelina's leg.
'Clang!'
'What the-' the shocked look on gin's face was clearly seen, as he stared in disbelief. The axe hit zelina's leg but it didn't go through. no, it didn't even cut her let alone graze her as it just stopped.
"Your attempts are futile." Zelina mocked, and the next moment she appeared behind gin sending her fist to his spine. He couldn't dodge in time as her fist hit his spine, cracking the bones completely along with his body falling to the floor.
"No.. gin!" Flora yelled running forward, firing off multiple arrows glowing yellow at zelina.
'Bang! bang! bang!' She blocked most of the arrows shot at her by using her arms, and sidestepping a bit. A wicked smile was planted on her lips as she moved forward, heading to meet Flora.
"Idiot. you've fallen into my trap." She smiled, sending her fist out to Flora's chest. The punch was fast cutting through the air, making little bang sounds.
"Ha!" Flora gasped sharply, seeing the fist just inches away from colliding with her chest. but just as it was about to hit, a figure stood in front.
"I got you!" Saber yelled, his blue energy saber pulsing with life. He then swiftly slashed at her neck to which she blocked, by raising an arm. Not stopping he continued wielding the sword, slashing vertically at her to which she blocked by crossing her arm.
'Bang! bang!' Multiple arrows clashed into zelina's chest exploding upon impact, sending her skidding back. Saber seeing the opportunity charged at her slashing horizontally at her head, putting in every bit of his strength into that blow.
'Bam! Sizzle... Zzz.' The energy saber made sizzling noises as it hit zelina's metal arm, small balls from sparks of flames constantly falling to the floor.
"Your attacks can't stop me." Zelina smiled pushing saber's energy saber back, her metal hand had now become red hot.
"Now faiya!" Saber shouted, struggling to keep up with his attack.
'Bam!'
"N-no impossible." Faiya mumbled, shocked as zelina blocked her attack.
"Nice try.." zelina grinned a bit, as her other hand blocked a dark scythe swung at her head.
"Now it's time for you-" she was cut short of her words when a sword pierced her chest, protruding out the back. Zero stood in front of zelina, inching the sword more deeper into zelina's chest.
"Ha! who's the tough one now?" Saber chuckled, seeing their weapons going to zelina's head.
"I am!" Zelina screamed, her power exploding as she sent them all to the floor, but not without landing a fist to their spines.
'N-no.' Atlanta stared in disbelief, seeing the big five wiped out easily like that. Her heart fluttered a bit staring at zelina who was still standing, a light smile plastered on her lips.
Only one word could come to her mind, as she stared at this monster.
'Unbeatable..'
