Chapter 10 - Ambiguity Test

"Time? What time?"

Aiden was stunned by this inexplicable sentence. Before he could react, Sophia grabbed his arm and pulled him hard. Caught off guard, Aiden's entire body leaned forward and he fell into the utility room, landing on his face.

"Ugh…"

The sharp pain from his nose caused Aiden to let out a muffled groan. Bright red blood instantly spurted out from his nose, but compared to the pain in his body, he was more worried about the reason for Sophia's sudden change in attitude.

"Could it be that she's also a monster? No, that's impossible."

As soon as this thought appeared, he rejected it. If Sophia was a monster, why would she go through so much trouble to save him? She could have just watched Lily tear him apart.

Or, if the other party wanted to kill him while he was hiding in the toilet in the park, the other party had countless opportunities but did not attack. Therefore, he could completely eliminate the possibility that the other party was a monster.

Then why did the other party suddenly treat him like this?

Before he could think about it, he heard the heavy sound of the door closing behind him. When he turned around, he saw a black shadow pounce on him.

It was Sophia. Her face was filled with indifference, and there was no trace of a smile on her face. A short dagger had appeared in her hand at some point in time. Under the light from the crack in the door, it flickered with a sharp cold light.

"W-What are you doing?"

Aiden swallowed and instinctively tried to step back, but Sophia was quick. She rushed forward, her long right leg drawing a graceful arc in the air as she stomped on his chest, pushing him back to the ground.

"Cut the crap. If you move again, I'll kill you with a knife!" Sophia shouted coldly. Her beautiful face came close, and there was no hint of a joke in her serious expression.

As she spoke, she spun the dagger in her hand and pressed it against Aiden's neck. Any further and it would pierce his skin.

The cold touch on his throat made Aiden tremble unconsciously. How could he dare to refuse? He quickly agreed.

"Okay, okay, okay. Big Sister, don't do anything rash."

"Look me in the eye."

Sophia ordered, and Aiden did not dare to disobey. He quickly turned his head to look at her. The moment their eyes met, he realized that he could not move his body. Moreover, there was a groggy feeling in his head. Images of the past kept flashing in front of his eyes as if a big hand was constantly flipping through his memories.

At the same time, Sophia's pink cheeks turned pale and bloodless at a speed visible to the naked eye. Her lips were trembling slightly, and sweat kept dripping from her forehead. After a long time, she opened her eyes and panted rapidly.

The strange feeling in his mind disappeared. Aiden raised his head slightly and looked at Sophia, who seemed to have experienced a huge battle. He asked carefully, "Are, are you alright?"

Sophia did not reply. Instead, she stared into his eyes. After a while, she burst out laughing.

"Why are you still as silly as when you were young?"

Looking at her bright and smiling face, Aiden was filled with doubt as he muttered, "You, what are you…"

"Silly, I'm just teasing you." Sophia put the dagger aside. Her big moist eyes narrowed into two crescent moons. As she spoke, she stuck out her pink tongue, looking as cute as could be.

Seeing this, Aiden heaved a long sigh of relief. He patted his chest and scolded jokingly, "You scared me to death…"

As he spoke, he was about to get up, but Sophia had no intention of letting go of him. Instead, she raised her leg and straddled his waist, smiling and blinking.

"Hey, don't be anxious. It's not easy for us to meet, and we're alone. Don't you want to do something to me?"

"Huh?"

Aiden was stunned. Before he could react to her words, Sophia had already taken off her short-sleeved shirt. Her fair skin stood out even in the dim room. The light from the crack in the door highlighted her collarbone. She was so beautiful that her breasts, wrapped in a lace bra, trembled slightly with her movements. With just a glance, Aiden felt dazzled.

"You, what are you doing? Put it on quickly!"

Aiden shouted. Although he was not a conservative person and had watched many Japanese movies, it did not make sense for such a thing to happen at a time like this.

"Why? You don't like me?"

Sophia bent down and leaned close to his body. Her eyes were filled with charm, and the faint fragrance on her body entered his nostrils. What was even stranger was that Aiden realized that he could not move again. Only his eyes could move.

"Relax." Sophia's voice was even gentler. At the same time, she placed her soft hand on Aiden's chest and slowly slid it down.

"This, this, this, this, let's not." Aiden's face flushed red. The itchy feeling in his chest almost drove him crazy, and his body subconsciously reacted.

Not long after, Sophia's hand stopped at his groin. Aiden held his breath, nervous and expectant.

Just as that dainty hand was about to untie Aiden's belt, it suddenly stopped. Aiden looked up and saw Sophia staring straight at his face. Just as he was about to ask her what she was looking at, Sophia suddenly said, "Are you really an Awakened?"

Aiden's heart skipped a beat. The last person who said he was an Awakened had almost killed him, and now he was being called that again. He made up his mind that no matter what Sophia's motive was, he would never admit it.

"Awakened? What is that? I don't understand." Aiden pretended to be at a loss.

"Stop pretending. You broke your nose just now. You've already recovered." Sophia exposed him bluntly. Aiden still wanted to argue, but the former picked up the dagger and pressed it against his throat again.

"You're not an Awakened, but you have such a recovery skill. In other words, you're a beast. Just in time, I'll send you on your way!"

With that, she raised her dagger and stabbed at Aiden's throat. Seeing that the other party was serious, Aiden did not dare to be stubborn and quickly shouted, "I am, I am, I am an Awakened!"

THUD!

The dagger grazed the edge of his neck and stabbed into the ground. The wooden floor was deeply pierced, making Aiden's eyelids twitch. He secretly rejoiced in his heart. If he had spoken slower just now, the dagger might not have pierced the floor but his throat. If that happened, even if he could heal himself, he would definitely die.

"Hehe, why didn't you say so earlier? Seriously." Sophia grinned and put away her dagger. She stood up and extended her hand to Aiden on the ground.

"Come with me and join the Awakened Organization."
