Exhausted and deprived, Kivas went to travel all the way from the site of the event to the location where the protector of this realm resided.
It was already ingrained to his mind that a well fought battle won't end unless he managed to come back. Combined with the rigorous training of his enlistment back on his former life, having a strong mental fortitude was given, or even better, enhanced, especially since he already had that iron mentality since the start of his life.
If there was someone who had already given their entire life to fight for someone and still had the will to return immediately after in this world, Kivas would be one of them.
Not to mention, his [Taotie's Constitution: Searing Gluttony] made him unable to feel any hunger in exchange of being unable to be sated by anything he consumed. With how he could gain energy by simply inhaling air, Kivas put the effect of this boon to its fullest by just ignoring the demerit and just living with it.
In just a couple minutes of walking, Kivas already had no problem whatsoever with his fatigue.
'Still, just what in the world are they?'
To be able to give an effort to such an extent.
'They are just like the main characters of the story.' Kivas was both impressed and respected by such people. 'Rarely people like that exist back on Earth.'
How many kinds of people and cultures would he stumble upon in the future? How many more days until his torch's illumination can reach the stars?
'Of course such people exist! This is not Earth, afterall!'
It wasn't long until he arrived, in contrast to the amount of time needed to scour the realm and make a mental map in the chase of that threatening group.
Kivas still didn't know what was their purpose or where they had any of it all since the beginning. What Kivas knew is that both of them didn't look like they were a malicious duo, along with the majority of the people in the group.
His opinion still stands for the hooded rodent being the mastermind of all of this. Kivas just couldn't help to feel that way after seeing how malevolent her whole air was about.
Kivas' faith upon those two people was one of the reasons why he hasn't used his second Hidden Takamagahara.
"Samsong! Tis I! Kivas who have crawled back from hell!" Kivas shouted immediately after he felt that the telepathic connection had been established. "I tried to talk to you on the way, but I didn't feel any signal."
"It's delightful to see you're still alive and kicking, brother!" The black goat's head emerged from the earth along with the giant flower that cradled it. "I was using most of my power to keep the Primal Standings at bay, along with the commencement of judgment to those who dared the act of endangering the world."
"Speaking of judgment, I believe that those two kids that I left on the meadow are the subject, no?"
"Indeed, brother. While their acts are dangerous, I sense little to no malicious intent on both of them. Thus, I did some little bit of an interview to weigh the damage and the motivation behind their seemingly lost pursuit."
"And as for the result?"
The goat's head shook. "Both of them are guilty. The lack of will to understand the magnitude of their action along with the ignorant shudder against all anomalies proved them to care no less about anything else outside of their own community and their goals.
"Though, I see that you're wondering heavily about their motivation and intent, so I asked them a little for a fragment of their history."
"What did they say?"
"To put it into a layman's level of comprehension, both of them were chasing after a beast known as the Untethered One. Most of their people lost something precious to this beast, It's a conquest for vengeance, one might say.
"After not much progress in their countless expeditions, an imposter happened to mingle in the identity of their guide."
"It seems like I know who the guide might be…"
"Of course, their instinct couldn't be fooled that easily, but that agent of threat led them here in the cue of knowing the location where the Untethered One resides." The goat sighed. "They knew that they might be used or led into a trap, but they accepted the temptation and control without caring of the consequences."
"This Untethered One, what kind of beast is that?"
"I know nothing of such a beast, brother, thanks to the amount of time I've been living in this isolated realm. But I do know that this beast is strong enough to level a small continent and leave terrifying destruction on its weak, if we follow the information given by the subjects."
"I guess that explains their strength and capabilities."
"They are giving you a rough time, ey?"
"I'm on the verge of kicking the bucket every second of the fight. It might be a swift collision, but still life-threatening nonetheless." Kivas sighed through his sharp teeth. "What will happen to both of them?"
"It will be too generous of me to let them go without any consequences. I won't condone such an incapability. Of course, it's also too wasteful to let their talent rot by the death.
"As of now, I've made a deal and sent them to 'Purgatory' to train until they have enough strength to face off a beast of Untethered One's caliber. It shall cleanse them of their sins while developing their 'E.N.E' into a proper level of maturity."
"E.N.E? What kind of tech savvy sounding word is that?"
"It seems like what I call the 'essence of nature' is coined as 'Magical Energy' by the people in this continent. Universally however, it's dubbed as 'E.N.E'. I've got this information after scouring through their memories. Although, both of them didn't even know the meaning of this E.N.E."
"Huh, maybe it's the scientific name." Kivas raised one of the front limbs forward. "You know, just like how Banana is called Musacea in latin when it comes to its family classification."
"Hmmm, I can see why."
"Or maybe it's called Ene as in E-I-N instead of it being an abbreviation."
"Trust me, brother, I'm as clueless as you."
"I'm more curious than clueless, heh."
