Walking back into the locker rooms I shake off the weird ass encounter I just had with Aurora. I could tell she was flustered and all was justified. If my back went flying on to the floor when the hallway was jam packed with snobby students, I would feel a little embarrassed myself.
Opening my locker I shove my gym bag in as I hear Alexander call from behind me, "I'm having a party tonight if you want to come."
I shut the door and turn to face Alex, "And why are you have said house party?" I question. Alex has like 3 house party's a week but only because his parents travel a lot. They're always wild and end in disaster.
"Parents are off away on business." Alex whips his jersey off and chucks it on the bench.
"Yeah okay." I answer. I don't always like Alex's parties, they're noisy, filled with drama and every single girl either wants to bed me or wants to make their boyfriend jealous.
"Just need to pick Daisy up in the library before we head off." Alex says as he picks up his towel and heads to the showers.
Daisy is Alex's twin sister. Daisy took Criminology as a major as Alex and I took Psychology. Do we know what we want to do with that degree? Nope but I'd be lying if I said the science behind it all didn't fascinate me.

As I head into the library, Alex and I head to the Criminology isle to find Daisy sat at a table and chatting away to a blonde girl whilst a brunette is sat next to her. She turns around when she hears Alex call for her.
"Hi! This is my friend Aurora-" both of our heads snap up and our eyes lock. I feel a smile splay across my face. Awkward encounter girl. Handshake girl. Bag flying across the hallway girl.
"Hi Aurora." I say and her cheeks redden as she scratches the bottom of her nose to try and hide her smile.
"And this is Florence. I just met her today. Apparently she's in Criminology with Aurora and I." Daisy smiles up at her brother. Daisy has always been outgoing and loves making friends, especially when they like true crime like she does.
"That's very nice, Dais, but we have to go now." Alex says to Daisy. Daisy pulls a face before picking up her books.
"I'll face time you tonight so we can work on our essay." She says before kissing Aurora on the cheek.
"Okay. Bye Daisy." She smiles at her.
"Bye Florence!" She calls as she walks away with Alex.
"Bye!"
Now it's just Florence, Aurora and I left at the table, "what's your essay on?" I ask, aiming my question at Aurora.
"We have to research a cold case and our conclusion is to see who we think did it." Aurora answers me as Florence shuts down her laptop.
I look at Aurora for a beat, "we're doing the same essay." I grin at her.
Her eyes shoot all the way up to her hairline, "what course did you take?"
"Psychology."
"Oh..." her voice sounds quiet.
"I'm not just a dumb jock, Aurora." I say teasingly, "are you going to Alex's party tonight?"
Aurora's tongue darts out to wet her bottom lip and I analyse every second of it. She's anxious; cheeks flushed, try mouth, can't make eye contact with me.
"Uhm... yeah-" Aurora starts coughing and her hand shoots out to get her bottled water. She takes a big swig because clearing her throat again, "I'm sorry, I have to go." She abruptly get out of her chair sending it flying back. She grabs her bag and rushes out of the library, leaving just Florence and I alone.
I look down at Florence with a concerned look, "what was that about?"
All Florence does is laugh and shakes her head before shoving her laptop in the carrier and leaving me in the library by myself.
