When I step into Alexander's home with Daisy I can see that the party is in full swing. Their home is jam-packed with guests; some familiar faces and some not.
"I'm not going to lie, Dais, this party seems a bit over the top," I say to Daisy, weaving in and out of happy-go-lucky teens. I nearly bumped into a couple who are practically dry-humping each other, "gross." I say with a grimace on my face.
I may be a bisexual queen and bat for both teams but even I don't want to see that.
"Don't I know it." Daisy deadpans. She grabs my hand and directs us through the crowd before we come out and appear in the hallway.
"Where are we going?" I ask. I look around and see paintings and photos of Daisy, Alexander and their parents. They look like a little happy family.
My family is happy-ish. I'm an only child and both my parents are still married, but my father "travels" a lot. And by "travel" I mean "says he travels for business but actually cheats on my mother." And that happens a lot!
Daisy stops at a door and twists the handle, the door creaking open, "my room. I can't stand my brother's parties." I follow behind her and find myself smiling at her remark. I met Daisy properly today, even though she's been in the same class as Aurora and me for 2 years now. I would be lying if I said I didn't find her attractive but now that I've formally met her... wowie wow wow.
As we enter Daisy's bedroom I take in her aesthetic; pale pink walls with a grey accent wall that has the bed up again. She has fairy lights and a bookshelf with more books than I have read in my entire life. On the nightstand next to her bed, she has a photo of herself and another girl. She has light blonde hair, almost silver and big blue eyes. Who is she?
"Very... pink." I pause between words. My bedroom is dark with dark grey walls, a black bed frame with matching sheets with band posters. The only leisure item I have in my room is my guitar which I can play for hours on. I take part in a weekly art class but that isn't shown in my room, I like that part of me to be a secret. It's a way to express myself without actually expressing it through words.
Daisy sits on her bed and looks up at me, the music downstairs blaring, "yeah. It needs updating. I still like pink but not so much now." she lets out a sigh and looks around her room, "movie or TV show?" she asks, whipping the duvet cover back as she tips off her shoes and gets in, turning the TV on.
"Oooo-" I say as I tip my own shoes off, "well I'm watching Brooklyn nine-nine." I hover around for an invitation to sit with Daisy.
Daisy pats next to her and I take it as an invitation to sit, "I haven't watched that." She simply says.
I let out a dramatic gasp and my palm comes up to my chest like I'm offended, "well now is the perfect time. From season 1."

A few hours pass and it's currently 11:23 P.M. The party is still raging on. I let out a sigh as I push myself off the bed, "I'm going to the toilet a minute." I say to Daisy. She pauses the TV and stretches big, "okay." She yawns.
I stand up and let out a satisfying stretch as I walk out of Daisy's bedroom and down the hall where I think the bathroom is. In the hallway, there are three doors one after the other. I make a safe bet and lean my head against the door, listening for any noise. As my ear connects with the oak wood I hear moaning.
Gross!!!!
I scowl and step back moving to the other door. This time it's silent. I twist the door handle and open is a slither. Now that the door is open I hear low levelled whispers.
"170 for one gram." A deep voice says.
"Nah man that's too much. I can give you 100." Another voice answers.
"170 or no deal."
"Come on man, I need this score." He pleads.
Oh my god. Am I listening to a drug deal???!
I step back but the floor beneath me squeaks. My pulse quickens and I can feel my heartbeat in my ears.
"Hello?" I hear from the room. I take off in a sprint before I hear the door open. No doubt they saw me as I rounded the corner.
"Oh my god oh my god oh my god!" I panic. I rush into Daisy's room and shut the door right behind me, making sure to lock it.
"I think I just witnessed a drug deal." I take a deep breath.
Daisy's jaw is practically on the floor as her eyes narrow. She fumbles with the duvet retrieving her phone, "I'm not having this." She says raising her phone to her ear.
