The guild master paid for everyone this time. He was very excited to enter the simulation again.
After Felix paid for everyone, he, the guard captain, five guards that did not participate in the simulation and were waiting outside went into the simulation again. About the other two spots left. One of them was reserved for the guard with the medium level talent for knight training and then other was one of the guards that did better than the others in the previous simulation and was recommended by Max when the guild master did not know who to pick.
The rest of the simulation time ended pretty quickly. Max also went to spar a little for the same time everyone else were in the training grounds. He wanted to finish his training regime to be able to enter the goblin crypt at night to see what he could get from it. He also wanted to give Derek a chance to try and ascend the level knight apprentice. Now he was too weak to get the knight apprentice level from his skills. Derek could still not beat his copy after all. Max believed that he could grind this goblin crypt and get the knight apprentice level in a much slower phase without killing the final boss. It was still better than nothing. Maybe he could join the other guards and form a party to get the equipment with time.
After one more hour in the real world all the guards with the guild master left fully satisfied. They asked Max when they could come again, and the answer was pretty simple. They could come after their job is done. Max promised them to make actual hours, so people don't come with no reason. It will be a waste to walk back and forth for an hour for nothing. After everyone left Max finally saw his funds rising. He also decided on one more thing he could provide to increase the growth rate of the person in the simulation. For some advice he will take one silver coin per person for one session. The person could ask him a question for 3 times during the half a month of the simulation. It will allow him to earn some money while also training in the simulation. He could collect these funds for any unexpected stuff that may happen.
After everyone went away, he and Derek closed the gaming club and Max said to Derek after eating dinner: "Derek listen up. I have a way to get you to a level of a knight apprentice. For that you need to win the level one bot. For now, the simulation I have could get you to a second knight apprentice level. After you will break through too the first level you could cultivate your powers without the simulation as well. Also, you will have a chance to get equipment from the simulation and simulation funds to buy different things. Very good things for you. For that you need to win your copy. Work hard. If you won't win the bot, I will not give you access to any other options of the simulation and there are a lot of them."
Derek was in a loss for some time. Then he asked with a shaking voice: "Is it really possible?"
Derek did not care about the equipment and all the other stuff. He cared the most to be able to cultivate his life force to become a knight. It was something that a lot of people wanted but not much had the talent and the background to make their dreams come true.
"Yeah, sure you can. Just work hard. Alright. I'm out to my room. Good night." Max said.
After that Max got up to his room and Derek also went into the simulation with a lot of fire in his eyes. When both Max and Derek entered the simulation Max saw that Derek gave his all to win the bot. He charged at it like a maniac.
After that Max entered the goblin crypt. He wanted to feel all the levels of the that this dungeon had to offer. He had enough time to check most of the level possible for him to pass by himself.
After that Max entered the simulation and then entered the goblin crypt at the lowest level possible. For people with no knight talent. When he entered the goblin crypt the system gave him a very plain simple sword with a simple shield. Nothing more. It was strange. Before that he could choose any type of weapon and now, he only had the most basic weapons.
'System what is going on?' Max asked.
'The user will be given the most basic weapons that are good for the host to use. To upgrade the weapons and the armor the player needs to kill the boss and get equipment from it or buy it from the shop when enough funds are raised. Sometimes if you will get lucky there is a very small chance to get the equipment from the normal or elite monsters. There are 10 floors of this crypt. The boss is located on the tenth floor.' The system said in Max's mind.
When he entered the crypt, he was in some kind of underground structure or cave. There were some kind of green small people in the distance. Max used the appraisal skill on them, and this is the information he got: 'Name: Goblin. Rank: E low. No special abilities detected.'
Those green small monsters had some spikes, small shields or rusty swords. It was nothing really impressive. The most important thing here is the fact that you could not die like in the other type of simulation. For most players it could give a valuable battle experience against monsters. Also, Max saw an experience bar on the side of the screen with the data: 'Level: Rank one knight 0%'.
After Max looked around for some time, he started to explore the goblin crypt with a lot of interest.
