Chapter 46 - Attack! Part-1

The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting an amber glow over the land. High above, almost reaching the clouds, multiple flying eagles soared gracefully. Atop these majestic creatures, the Blue Eagle Knights adorned in silver-blue eagle armor exuded a battle spirit. In front, the top two eagles carried Chase, Ava, Alex, and Luke, each pair of knights positioned on one eagle. They were headed towards the south wall to engage the Green Griffin Knights in a fierce confrontation.

"We're almost there!" Alex's voice commanded, carrying far and wide. "Prepare yourselves!"

The Blue Eagle Knights tightened their grip on their weapons, bracing themselves for what lay ahead. As the south wall came into view, they saw the Green Griffin Knights perched on top of multiple griffins. Archers shot arrows, mages unleashed fire, water, and various other attacks, while some knights jumped onto the wall, attacking the Blue Eagle Knights positioned there.

"The Green Griffin reinforcements have arrived!" A powerful-looking general on a large green griffin spotted the approaching blue eagles and issued a warning to his fellow knights.

A battle strategy was formed by Ava before coming here, for the Blue Eagle Knights. "Knights, land, and advance towards the wall!" Chase commanded, turning around at the eagle pointing. "Mages, stay up and protect the air and the knights on the ground!"

Mages were dressed in blue robes with an eagle symbol on the back holding short and long magic staff.

"Yes, General Chase!" The resounding response from the Blue Eagle Knights and Mages echoed powerfully through the air.

The blue eagles descended in different directions, some flying low towards the ground, while others maintained a higher position in the air. The Blue Eagle Knights landed on the ground and charged toward the Green Griffin Knights on the battlefield.

As the eagles in the sky drew closer to the Green Griffin Knights, both parties let out battle cries, the griffins' roars blending with the eagles' screeches. The majestic griffins, with their lion bodies symbolizing strength and courage, while the eagle's head and wings symbolize keen vision, and speed.

Long ago, griffins and eagles lived in harmony and mutual respect, believed to have originated from the union of a celestial eagle and an ancient forest spirit. But for some unknown reason, humanity's involvement led to them becoming sworn enemies, always attacking each other.

As the knights engaged in intense combat, some of the Green Griffin Knights diverted their attention toward the blue eagles, setting up a dangerous aerial confrontation.

While Chase and Ava watched the knights fight off the Green Griffin Knights attacking on the ground, Alex and Luke, and the other knights and mages focused on the enemies in their immediate vicinity.

"You really there attack us generals," Alex said arrogantly.

Alex swung his sword slicing a knight's head off easily, blood spraying into the air down toward the ground, Luke swung his morning star mace at a knight's stomach sending them flying off the eagle's back and screaming on that way down before slamming into the ground in between the battle, breaking everyone bone in their body instantly dying.

Alex sliced a knight both legs off pushing them off the eagle's back, then as another green griffin knight landed onto the eagle Luke simply but powerfully kicked another knight off.

Suddenly the blue eagle with Alex and Luke saw an incoming fireball, the eagle screeched and flew up, dogging the fireball, Luke who was fighting two green griffin knights did have a proper footing lost his balance and fell off the eagle toward the ground at a very fast speed.

Chase saw Luke falling toward the ground"Luke!" he shouted in worry.

When Alex heard Chase's voice he noticed Luke was missing then he saw her Chase was looking down.

Chase, Ava, and Alex looked off the eagle and saw Luke landing on the ground creating a deep pit of cobweb stone, on top of his back not moving.

"Quickly attack we got one off there general!"The green griffin knights saw Luke on the ground and got excitement filled them for killing one general.

Chase, Ava, and Alex continued looking over their eagle while attacking the green griffin knight that keep attacking them.

"Some knights move and check Luke and protect him"Chase ordered, about ten blue Eagle knights moved toward Luke laying on the mudded ground from the thunder storms Luke's eyes were closed and he wasn't breathing.

On the ground, the blue eagle knight got closer to Luke's body while fighting off green griffin knights that are going toward Luke.

Suddenly Luke's eye shout open and filled with black, but quickly disappeared and returned to normal before anyone noticed.

"General Luke is alive!" A knight shouted attracting other knights.

"General you shouldn't move"Blue eagle knight, notice Luke moving and warned Luke worried about being injured.

To everyone's surprise, he easily rose from the ground, seemingly unharmed. Grabbing his morning star mace as his body seems to be still intact without any damage.

"How can he still move?"A knight said in shock as anyone from that high up will die but Luke just easily stood up and started moving toward fighting again.

Chase, Ava, and Alex on top of the eagle noticed that Luke stood not looking injured and still moving they were all wondering in their minds how or is Luke stronger than everyone but hiding his strength.

Suddenly multiple fireballs and water balls flew toward Chase and Ava causing their eagles to dodge and fly away from Alex's eagle.

Suddenly a majestic giant green griffin soared toward Alex with projecting confidence, on top of the griffin was a knight.

"Im General Bruce, I have come to challenge you, "General Bruce said to Alex.

Alex looked at the knight and sneered down at General Bruce. "Im General Alex, You dare challenge me on that pitiful creature? Your skills are as feeble as your kingdom's choice of steeds!"

General Bruce maintained his composure, his eyes unwavering. "Mock my griffin all you want, but remember, it's not the amount that wins battles, it's the rider."

The arrogance in Alex's heart propelled him forward, and with a commanding gesture, he urged his giant eagle into a dive, talons extended. He aimed to snatch General Bruce from his griffin's back and claim victory in one fell swoop.

But Bruce seems to be no novice in aerial combat. He spurred his griffin to meet the challenge head-on, and the two mighty birds collided mid-air with a deafening clash.

Swords clashed and sparks flew as Alex and Bruce exchanged blows, both got a deep slash on each other arm, The griffin slays its claw at the eagle's head, but the eagle manage to quickly pull up, The giant eagle's talons swiped ferociously at the griffin, while the griffin's razor-sharp beak aimed to pierce the giant eagle's defenses.

"You fight well, I'll give you that," Alex bellowed dripping blood from his arm, a hint of begrudging respect in his voice. "But your mount is faltering under the might of my eagle!"

Bruce replied with a fierce grin also dripping blood from his arm, parrying a series of swift strikes. "My eagle is far more agile than your lumbering bird. We'll see who falters soon enough!"

The aerial battle raged on, and the once pristine feathers of the giant eagle and the griffin now bore deep claw and hole marks of their fierce confrontation.

"You're no ordinary knight, Alex. Few can match my skill in the skies," Bruce said, a glimmer of admiration in his eyes as he acknowledged the prowess of Alex.

"And you're no ordinary knight either, Bruce," Alex responded, his voice unwavering despite the chaos around them. "But still this your final battle"

With a swift maneuver, Alex disarmed Bruce with an unleashed a devastating blow, his sword connected to the griffin's body, slashing through the side of the griffin's body, and blood and its organ flew out into the sky. Bruce's griffin began to struggle to remain in the air from blood loss and began to fall, and he struggled to maintain his balance, as he came dangerously close to falling off the griffin's back.

Seizing the opportunity, Alex grabbed Bruce's hand giving him hope of staying alive"Goodbye" Alex said pushing Bruce off the griffin ending his hope.

"Noo!" Bruce shouted in the air not wanting to die, quickly flying down slamming into the ground died.
