The next day Lili's health became worse the only thing showing that she was still alive was the machines, the lines of the monitor showing that a very weak heartbeats were detected.
Feeling dejected that she couldn't fulfill her wish Night was sitting quietly looking at the bed without blinking an eye, the doctor said any moment they should be ready.
And grandma Lili was still holding on as if unwilling to go in peace until her wish gets fulfilled like her mission was yet to be completed.
Night knew what she wanted but she was unable to do it and was greatly blaming herself.
It was all her fault she couldn't face her problem and end up ruining everything built for her.
While she was engrossed in her self blame a pair of black leather shoes appeared before her lowered face as she had lowered her head in shame and looked down.

He was in front of her at last though he seem a bit messy as he was not wearing his bossy suit only a white shirt that was folded up to his elbow and black pants, he seem haggard somehow with his not so neat hair style and grown beards.
Gold felt sorry to see her like that, she seem so vulnerable and sad that he too felt hurt too.
Looking at him Night was very glad that he came as her godmother's wish to see them both together would be fulfilled but before she could say anything to the man.
Suddenly Teo called out for the doctor as the monitor seem to show a straight line and beeping sound that greatly scared him knowing it might be the time.
This frightened him though he knew she would leave soon but didn't want it to be so soon.
Even Night was alerted she immediately went close to her grandmother and desperately try to talk to her.
" Mother he is here now please open your eyes and see, don't leave me please!" Night said as she desperately try to wake her but then the doctors came and immediately examed her.
But after checking her they looked at each response seeing none looking at the watch he announced.
" The time of death ****" the doctor said and recorded the time.
" No!!!!" Night exclaimed a bit loud as she was not ready to accept that.
" Mother!" Teo called sadly as tears streamed down his eyes, all the while he tried to be strong but now he was not able to do so.
She was gone!, that was the fact he was yet prepared to accept.
Unable to hold herself Night cried her heart out as she realized that the very woman who really cared for her had just died.
Seeing her like that Gold went to hold her and quietly comfort her and this time Night didn't refuse him.
She continued crying while he embrace her and comfort her.
Night eventually lost conscious after crying a lot and that was one time he had ever seen her so weak.
He curse himself for not being able to come early he had destroyed his phone out of frustration and even after buying new one he didn't seem in his right state of mind to use it.
It was till late his assistant informed him about what was going on with Night and like a mad man he had to rush there while praying he wouldn't be too late for her.
He finally saw her desperate message and missed calls, he cursed himself even more to be unavailable when she needed him the most.
After taking her back to rest as the doctor suggested, Gold helped her rest on the bed comfortably and then sat beside her.
Looking at sleeping Night Gold caress her head gently and said.
" I'm sorry for being late" He said but Night couldn't hear him.
Next day Lili's preparation for funeral was made and as per their custom she was to be buried at her ancestral home where she was born.
And Teo being the head of the family and acknowledged son he performed all the duties.
Her kins were also present and some of close friends, everyone knew old Lili's wish and accepted it.
Everything went smoothly and all the preparations were ready.
Night was too quiet ever since she woke up, not crying not saying anything that Gold started to feel worried.
They were together since last night he had helped her to get prepared and even drives her to old woman Lili's home.
But she was too quiet, he knew she was sad and mourning inside so he didn't disturb her.
They were both wearing black clothes as their custom and were in the family cemetery in the country side of city J where Lili's ancestral home was.
Getting ready to bury her, everything went smoothly until uninvited guests arrived this time full forced with police officers.
Seeing this everyone was surprised to see them.
" What are they doing here?"
People mumbled quietly as everyone was aware of what they had done in the past that even kindhearted old Lili disowned them.
Looking arrogant, the two children of Lili came close and pointed towards Teo and Night then said loudly.
" They are the suspects!.... we are not allowing them to bury our mother until everything gets investigated" they said and people started murmuring.
" What nonsense are you saying" Teo asked with irritated tone as he couldn't believe they were stopping a funeral for some nonsense.
" You heard it right we are suspicious of you for stealing from our mother's property and causing her death" They said fearlessly making everyone look at them with surprise look like what nonsense!.
Everyone knew that old woman Lili died from cancer and they were suspecting who for what?.
