Chapter 13 - Promise

With that thought in mind, he was becoming more impatient. After the waiter went out of his room, Mu Yang was just about to go out as well and picked her up from her room, making sure that the girl was still there and didn't run away like before. But, there was another knock on the door right when he almost reached the door.

Mu Yang opened it and smiled brightly when he saw the girl he was waiting for finally stood in front of his door.

"Come in, come in." He pulled her in excitedly.

"Are you going somewhere?"

"Where else? Picking you up, of course. Here, sit here." He pulled a chair for her and let her sit down.

"Didn't I tell you to wait for me?" She looked at him in confusion.

Mu Yang didn't respond, just smiling apologetically, at her. He sat in front of her and after praying, he eagerly put some food in her bowl.

"Eat up." He urged her.

"Okay, okay. Geez…" She picked up her chopstick and started eating.

Looking at her eating quietly, Mu Yang's smile got even wider. Her round cheeks bulged when she chewed. She looked so cute, like a hamster.

"What are you doing? Why aren't you eating?" She looked up and stared at him in confusion.

"Ah, I'll eat, I'll eat." Mu Yang put a stalk of vegetable in his mouth. "Eat more." He picked another vegetable and put it in her bowl.

"Are you trying to fatten me up? My bowl is already so full, you know?" Nana looked at him speechlessly.

"How can it be? I just want you to eat more. If you think you're fat, I'll accompany you to exercise later. Don't worry." He said while still smiling innocently.

From the look in her eyes, it was obvious that she didn't want to argue anymore and let him win the speech. Mu Yang clearly loved the fake submissive trait in her. So, he spoiled her more and more and planned to do so for a long time.

After eating breakfast, they sat down side by side on the couch in the suite room, facing the huge window that showed the beautiful view of the sea. The bright sunlight only made him look ethereal. His white skin was something to be envious of, but Nana didn't say anything and held back from saying anything.

"It's nice here, right?" Mu Yang asked softly.

Nana nodded. "As expected of a suite room."

"Wanna move here with me?" He looked at her eagerly. In Nana's eyes, he really resembled a dog who was waiting for its owner.

"I don't want to." She replied calmly with a sweet smile on her face.

"Why? Why? Why?" He widened his eyes, wanting to know the reason for her rejection.

"It's dangerous."

"What do you mean?" Mu Yang tilted his head in confusion.

"Aren't you worried I will jump on you?" Nana teased him.

Hearing her reason, Mu Yang snorted lightly and fixed the way he sat until he faced her properly. "I thought you're afraid of me."

Nana had a stupefied look on her face. She also changed the way she sat. "Why should I?"

"I mean, I thought you're afraid I would jump on you if you slept here."

Nana laughed. "It will be my honor that Mu Yang is interested in sleeping with me."

"Then, what are we waiting for?" Mu Yang suddenly got excited.

"Are you serious?" Nana moved back a bit while looking at the excited Mu Yang. "I've told you, I have never done it." Her small voice caressed his heart.

"Ah, I want to ask about it, too. You've never done it before but why were you thinking of doing it with me?"

"Everybody has their own desire. Just say, I've been keeping myself all this time for the right person, the one that my body and heart want. It's not necessarily for my future husband. What if I don't have the chance to get married? Won't I stay a virgin for my whole life?" She laughed. "Also, if it brings trouble later, won't it mean he is not the one for me?"

Mu Yang was stunned when he heard her explanation. It was really hard to be a woman. Women couldn't have a peaceful life without being judged by society. Nana was really pitiful. No, all women were pitiful. But, seeing the smile on Nana's face, Mu Yang had the urge to hug her and comfort her, saying that everything would be okay, that he would be with her even if she pushed him away.

That's what he did. He hugged her tightly without saying anything. Maybe because it wasn't their first time hugging like that, Nana didn't push him away. She even returned the hug she received sweetly.

"Don't make any promises you can't keep." Again, she talked as if she knew what he was thinking about.

Mu Yang chuckled. "Other women are dying to hear me making promises, but you forbid me to do it. I'm a man of my words." He lightly patted her back.

"I know." She nodded. "I'm also a woman of my words."

"Then, we are meant to be together. We will stay true to our words." He tightened his hug around her while happily exclaimed.

"I think so." Nana responded, half-teasing him.

"Then, it's a deal." Without missing a beat, Mu Yang exclaimed while grabbing her hand for a handshake.

Mu Yang's heart pounded in his heart. He looked like he was carefree, but deep down, he was afraid he would make a mistake by saying these words. Half of his heart wanted to say that he was serious with what he was saying, but the other half wanted to leave an exit for him if something's wrong happened to the both of them. He took a huge risk to say those words, but even he himself didn't know what would happen to the both of them.

It was the first time he followed his impulsive nature consciously.

"Since it's a deal, don't get too far away from me." He pushed himself and made sure she looked at their intertwining fingers.

"Fine. But, I still won't sleep here." Nana raised her eyebrows and smiled at him.
