Gyun hastily apologized as well "ah yes, sorry about that", he hastily began walking away. She grabbed his sleeve though before he could leave. "Uh have you decided what class your going take yet?" her face looked slightly flushed.
-I guess there's no harm in being honest, though I don't get why she's so curious-, Gyun sighed "er well I was thinking on focusing on grappling so maybe Jiu-Jitsu or wrestling but I'm also interested in taking some other striking martial arts classes later on".
"Ok that's cool, I personally prefer Jiu-Jitsu over wrestling.... but thats just my preference" She answered awkwardly. Gyun was uncomfortable from the awkwardness so he decided to escape. "Well thanks for the recommendation, bye!" he hurriedly ran to the door and left, he remembered the route home so he did a light jog as cool down since he hadn't properly cooled down yet.
Gyun arrived home and quickly went to his room, and hopped in the shower. He got out and changed into a fresh set of clothes. - I need to choose a martial art to learn so I can justify to my parents canceling kendo, but what should I choose? That girl recommended Jiu-Jitsu and that was already my first choice, I guess Jiu-Jitsu will be good since it will cover the hole in my martial arts.-
Gyun pulled up his laptop, while he had been researching modern day martial arts yesterday, he had noticed several things about Jiu-Jitsu that would help drastically boost his martial arts. 1 it covered a large array of submissions 2 it had many takedowns 3 highly versatile on the ground and practical in a fight.
Gyun had made his choice, he clicked on the Jiu-Jitsu national tournament last year he was going to watch a few matches to try and grasp the basics the best he could.

several hours later
4
He had been watching the finals match by the time his mom called him down for dinner, he sighed "ok I think I get the takedowns, the trips and throws are a lot like unorthodox Cheng sects techniques, but murim didn't have submissions, but some of the basic chokes are understandable like the guillotine choke, the rest I get the gist but I'd have to get some real teaching to understand it."
He closed the laptop and walked downstairs, the air was tense as Gyun sat down his sister was nervous and his brother looked concerned, while his mom and dad looked expectant. Everybody was eating but their mannerisms suggested something was off, and so they ate in silence, finally after everyone finished eating his father spoke.
"Well um as you guys remember since the 'Lang Financial group' went bankrupt, I've been out of a job for the past 3 months, and I found a job... but umm it pays much less as compared to 'Lang Financial' so your mother and I decided that we can't afford the rent of this house so we'll be moving closer to my job which is in Gangseo and we'll be transferring Gyun and Daegun to a different school and Eunae will continue to go to Seoul National since she has a scholarship but you two will be going to Birchell international school, since both of you skipped a grade in middle school you'll be a 1st year in second year classes, same goes for Daegun. It's a prestigious school that I had to pull some strings for and since Gyun is a national kendo champion, and Daegun was one of the best midfielders in the country in middle school they let you guys in for free since we wouldn't be able to afford the tuition. Don't worry we finished the transfer papers a few days ago and got back an answer 2 days ago, and you'll be transferring at the end of break." His father stopped and took a shaky breath
Gyun saw that Daegun looked to be furious but didn't say anything, Gyun guessed it had something to do with his friends. -Well he's 16 so he would care a lot about that- Gyun was also furious but for a different reason but he didn't let it show. Truth be told in the 8 years he'd been in murim he'd completely forgotten about the financial troubles since in murim he'd had gone through life and death situations weekly. It made small things slip away, and hardened his mentality and made it hard to socialize with his siblings which is why he had isolated himself since his return in his room. He mulled over these thoughts as his father continued speaking.
"We also rented a decent sized apartment in Gangseo and we'll be moving in tomorrow, we're sorry we didn't tell you beforehand but..... its just the way things turned out"
The room was silent for a time then his brother and mom began to argue over school but Gyun zoned them out as he was consumed with his own thoughts. -This!This is unacceptable I worked so hard for 8 years and just when things turned out good for me and I started getting attached and accepting that I won't be able to come back, I end up back here! All that effort to become the best and successful was for nothing, no less then nothing! Not only is it gone but everything here is going to shit! I refuse to accept this! I have to succeed again! I've gone to far to go back to the way things were again! I have to succeed!-
While the dinner table was in disarray with arguments and explanations, Gyun resolved himself to succeed, using everything he had at his disposal his 8 years of experience in murim, his combat experience and martial arts, and his enhanced 'true martial' body with superhuman strength and speed. With everything he would succeed, he would become someone that would be looked up to.
Gyun silently got up and left for his room, he laid in his bed, thinking of all sorts of things. While he was melancholic about moving, to be totally honest he no longer felt a connection with the people who were once his friends, he had no attachment to this neighborhood or friends. He was more concerned with the current financial situation of his parents, he'd completely forgotten that before he left for murim how bad the current family finacial situation was of his family.
He bit his lip in frustration until it bled, "Ugh, after all that hard work to reach the top we're back at the start, and on a whole new playing field". He hung his head in anger and exasperation, -this is unbelievable! I can't do this!-.
"No! I've succeeded before, I just need to get creative..... " he tried thinking but it'd been a while and most things he used to do in murim to make money would be very illegal. -Damn it I guess I can look into it during the rest of break-.
