Chapter 3 - #3

"No crime?"

Destinee questioned, her eyebrows up. "Yes, it's not like you found the body in the apartment, right? Do you at least know about its whereabouts?" the guy asked, to which the Police were still questioning it.

There was actually no body or clue regarding the murder. But we know the murder happened.

Yoongi gulped turning his head towards Destinee . She looked like she was in deep thought. "All I know was even before I reached that house, the murder happened, and the person with me also seems missing. I wanna know if he was the murderer or he was also killed." the guy said, looking at his feet, could see his terrified state with his trembling legs.

"How did he look alike?" Destinee questioned, the guy raised his eyes at her. "He was actually good-looking, pretty decent. He was also as drunk as me. I really don't remember his name or something. Also, his face. I can't actually remember it completely. I was badly drunk." he adds.

"Just register your details in the left cabin outside. You can't go anywhere unless informing us, okay?" Yoongi said, his eyes showing how serious he was. "Sure, Mr Min." he stood and bowed to both of them and went outside to give his details.

Yoongi turned and stared at Destinee who was still thinking about something. "What is that? You can use my brain too" Yoongi said, making Destinee click her tongue. "I just don't get it, Yoongi. Where could be the body? It's just like it's vanished in the air. No traces or anything. His belongings, clothes, phone, everything was just there where he kept it for the last time but just the person is missing. Who could be doing it? Where there were no records? Wait-"

Destinee turned around the pages and looked at one particular name. "Where is this guy? Why is he not arrived yet?" she asked, pointing out a name on the register book of the apartment. "Let me ask them," Yoongi said, calling the apartment security.

After talking with them, Yoongi sighed before keeping the phone away. "I can't believe there was a man with no phone or something," he said, and Destinee rolled her eyes. "Isn't it obvious? We are missing something big" she said, making Yoongi nod. "Was he headed somewhere during the first murder too?" she questioned him again. "No, he was there, we inquired with him too."

"Whatever-" she pulled out her ponytail and put it on again. She was always meeting at a dead end. She wants to finish this case before it gets worse. "Just wanna make sure that no one can go inside the apartment other than the residents," Yoongi said, rubbing his eyes.

"What if it's one of the residents?"

"Taehyung ah, an espresso for table 5" Namjoon said, making Taehyung quickly get the drink. As he was about to turn around, Taehyung's shoulder was wrapped by an arm, making him turn at the person. Taehyung instantly smiled at the familiar man. "Did you miss me?" He asked, making Taehyung nod at him.

"I missed you so much, Taetae." He said, making Taehyung smile ear to ear, looking at his dear friend. "Jimin, when did you come?" Namjoon asked, making Jimin show his crescent moon smile. "Just this morning," he said, turning to Taehyung, who was still looking small around his arms.

"Ain't you taking care of my soulmate? He is going thin, his chubby cheeks are my favourite you know?" Jimin said, pinching his cheeks. But Taehyung suddenly got distracted by a customer who arrived with a bell sound. He turned and went to them to greet them. "Here we go again." Jimin shook his head in disbelief and went to Namjoon.

"How's your girlfriend?" Namjoon asked, and Jimin rolled his eyes. "She's irritating, I'm gonna break up with her for sure," he said, making him chuckle. "I wondered 'cause it's been so long since you stayed up with this girl," Namjoon said, Jimin ignored, as he munched the cookie from the glass bottle.

"Oh, she's here," Namjoon said, as he looked up at the person who just entered. "She isn't really giving up on him. Since high school, Joon." Jimin replied, looking at the girl who was in front of Taehyung.

They both walked towards them quietly to listen to what they were speaking.

"W-What do you want to drink, Ma'am?" Taehyung asked, his eyes on the floor. "Can I order you?" she said, looking at him with the same fond eyes she does every time. "I-I'm sorry, Ma'am," Taehyung said, blinking his eyes cutely. "Taehyung ah, let's go on date," she whispered, making Taehyung's heart jump to the throat. She always says something that he doesn't expect.

"I-I can't do that," he said, making her squint her brows. "Why? Do you not like me?" she asked, and Taehyung was fidgeting with his shirt. "Tell me, you really don't like me?" she asked, and he murmured his answer. "What-" she said, and he looked up at the girl.

"I don't like you," he said, making her lips freeze on the spot. "Huh?" she was losing her mind but Taehyung turned away and went towards the counter passing Namjoon and Jimin. They looked at the girl apologetically who was still looking at Taehyung. It was only a few seconds and she rushed outside the cafe, holding back her tears.

"Yah, Taetae. Why must you do that to her?" Jimin whined, going to Taehyung. He didn't mind Jimin as he arranged the cups on the counter. "He never listens to me, Namjoon Hyung. I'm leaving," Jimin said, leaving the place.

Namjoon sighed as he stared at Jimin and turned to Taehyung. "Taehyung ah, if she's after you even after all these years. I don't think she's just playing around. Think about it." Namjoon said, patting Taehyung's cheek.

Coming home after ages, Destinee plopped herself on the bed and buried her face in the pillow. It felt like forever for her to feel her own bed under her. She's been always resting either at the Police station or Yoongi's house. She couldn't take some time for herself.

That's when she heard a knock on the door, making her growl and get up. As she walked towards the door, she opened it, only to witness her brother in front of her with a smile plastered on his face. "There you are, finally you remembered us," he said and she smiled back at him.

"It's a freaking headache out there," she said, hugging him. He always gives her the best hug. Her comfort. "Coffee?" he asked and she nodded her head on his chest like a baby. "I missed your coffee so much, Hoba," she said, and he chuckled at her.

As he prepared coffee for both of them, they were seated at the dining table. She sipped it, telling him what actually going on around her. "That's really suspicious-" he said, and she was nodding her head, closing her eyes, feeling the caffeine spreading all over her body.

That's when she heard the doorbell, making both of them look at the door. "Let me see who is it-" Hoseok said, walking towards the door. As he opened it, he rolled his eyes. "Just take a house just for you two," Hoseok murmured, seeing Yoongi getting inside their house.

Yoongi said nothing but he snatched Hoseok's coffee and drank it like he heard nothing. "Here he is, your best friend," Hoseok said, and there she know who it was. "Yoongi, is anything wrong?" She asked, but Yoongi just shook his head before seating next to her.

Hoseok and Yoongi are best friends, but when Yoongi joined Police along with Destinee, they became close and they trust each other so much. After all, they know each other for years.

"I don't feel like going home, so I just came here," Yoongi said, taking a magazine next to him, and reading it. "Just say you wanna move in here, Yoongi," Hoseok said, making Yoongi glare at him. "That's actually a good idea-" Destinee said, sipping the last sip.

"Des, you already have a coffee, right?" Yoongi questioned, making Destinee stare at Yoongi with wide eyes. "Me what?" she asked, and he let out a chuckle before continuing. "I saw you outside a familiar cafe a few minutes ago-" Destinee's lips parted apart, not knowing what to say.

"Ok, yeah I was there, now what?" she questioned, her brows jumped up, fists clenched, ready to fight. "Bitch, stop, I'm not ready to fight you today-" Yoongi said, earning a hit on his arm from Hoseok. "I went to see if Taehyung was fine-" she said, making Yoongi nod at her, but she knew that Yoongi was not convinced one bit.

"Sure, Taehyung was all fine- You only saw Taehyung-" Yoongi rolled his eyes and she stood up from the chair, walking towards the kitchen. She can be a warrior but she just loses whenever she thinks about him.

Namjoon.

Meanwhile in the cafe...

As it was closing time, Taehyung was cleaning up the cafe, while Namjoon was checking the cash. Namjoon wanted to get rid of some thoughts, but he keeps getting the wrong count and he starts counting again and again. "Hyung-" Taehyung said, walking towards Namjoon. Namjoon froze when he saw Taehyung snatch the money from him.

"Y-You have counted this money 6 times already, so I will do it-" Taehyung said, counting the money. Namjoon sighed, resting his palms on the counter, and staring around. He looked at that one where Destinee was standing a few hours ago. He knew she was there, but neither was ready to speak or take action.

"You shouldn't think about her when you say you don't like her-" Taehyung said, making Namjoon come out of the trance suddenly. "What-?" Namjoon questioned, but Taehyung was still, counting the money and keeping it in their locker securely. Taehyung smiled, showing his bread cheeks and resumed his cleaning.

"I never said I don't like her-" Namjoon mumbled.

Jimin who just entered the house was surprised to see someone inside his house already. "Woah, you scared the shit out of me-" he said, but he was received by a tight hug from Julia. He scoffed, trying to push her, but she didn't as she pecked his lips. He never liked it if someone was so clingy around him. He was still the bad boy from his high school, except for his dear soulmate Taehyung.

She pouted when he lightly pushed her away and made his way to the couch, taking off his shoes. She sat next to him, hugging his arm. He behaved like she never existed. She saw how he wasn't paying attention to her. She sighed before getting up. "I bought you food, Jimin ah. Eat well," she said, taking her stuff.

He looked up at her to know if she was leaving already. "Bye-bye," she said, pecking his lips again. He just sat there, looking at her leaving. He sighed, as he doesn't know why he wasn't being nice to her. He was all nice in the beginning, but he wasn't being the same since he doesn't stay up with one girl for a long time. He never was serious in any of his relationships. Either they would get tired of him because of his behaviour or when he wanted a breakup, they would just leave without any complaints.

A few girls would show tantrums at him when he wanted to leave, but eventually, he did. He never cared anything much in terms of his relationships.

When he was about to open the food that she brought for him, he heard a huge sound on the road. As his eyes widened, he threw it on the place and ran outside. He saw there was a huge accident on the road. A car crashed into a racing bike. The bike driver was not at all in his conscious. The car was damaged so much and there were two people inside the car, fighting for their lives. But Jimin's eyes were elsewhere.

Julia.
