Part 1, Ethan's Pov
Laura Mauser, I don't know much about that girl but this is something that never happened in the past.
'Everything is a consequence of my action and I was not going to let Davis suffer from this.'
'But, aren't the teachers on their way? Will I be able to make it in time?'... I needed to hurry and reach the dorm room as fast as possible.
I didn't free Jonathan from my spell and made it so that the spell would wear out on its own and he would forget everything by tomorrow...
After running for some time a bizarre idea came to my mind... The boy's dorms of the first years and second years were in separate buildings, and there was too much distance to cover if I take the normal route.
So I decided to take the risk despite there being several witnesses in the corridor...
" Hey someone jumped ...Did you see?" One of them spoke.
" But this is the third floor."
" Was it a thief?"
The students flocked to the balcony to see what happened to the person who jumped from such a high altitude but they found no one there...
"~Stealth~" I cast the spell in myself and disappeared into the shadowy area of the building while the students searched somewhere else. I felt the impact of jumping from such a height but I am skilled enough to lessen the impact... So I still managed to avoid getting injured.
Running behind the fences, I was able to avoid being seen by them.
However just as I reached behind the First years building and was about to climb the wall I saw someone jumping with an unconscious person in their hands.
" Davis!" I recognised the person who jumped.
How did he do that... He wasn't physically as strong as me and he also had been carrying another person in his hands.
" I found her in our dorm... I didn't do anything to her, I swear." Davis looked panicked and angry.
"Hmm...give her to me and go back to the room, I will handle her," I spoke.
" But Ethan she threatened me that she would report to the teachers that we assaulted her... That's why I knocked her unconscious, I think I should kill her before she does anything like that."
Davis looked shaken to the point where he even mentioned killing Laura... But there was no need for him to go that far as long as I am here.
" Davis, you trust me, right?" I asked.
" Yes but this bitch has crossed the line... I will rip her apart if that's the last thing I do." He was completely gone made.
I pointed my wand towards him...
" Davis trust me... I will solve everything."
" Ethan, what are you doing?" His anger was changed into confusion.
" I am doing something to save both of us... I have a better plan so believe in me, alright."
" Fine... We will talk about this later." Davis nodded.
"~Hypnosis~," I cast the same spell which I used on Jonathan. The reason why I used this spell was to help him resist the interrogation magic from the instructors if they choose to cast it.
" Go back to the room and then forget everything about Laura Mauser ever being in our room, and also about meeting me here." I gave the command and Davis suddenly jumped towards the wall... No, he floated instead of jumping.
I never knew that he can fly ...maybe he was using an artifact.
I was left with Laura Mauser in my care who was still unconscious. She wasn't going to go unpunished...
Even though I told Davis that I had a plan, I was still worried about myself. I just wanted to save Davis so I excluded him from what I was about to do.
Picking her up on my shoulders I used stealth magic to move around. I couldn't be more grateful to Luna for helping me form a mana vessel, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to do this kind of thing.
The place I was running to was the forest behind the academy castle... I just hoped that there are no witnesses who would see me going into the forest.
'Stupid Davis...Always getting in trouble because of girls.' I cursed.
Suddenly I noticed someone walking while flashing a light towards us. It was a guard...
" What are you doing there? Raise your hand..." The guard pointed his wand at me.
I had to drop Laura on the Ground and raise my hand...
" State your identity, and what were you doing with that girl." He questioned and was about to take out the communicator from his pocket.
But I cast a wind bullet, the chant less spell that I had used against Jonathan. His communicator was thrown in the distance.
"Shit... I didn't want to hurt anyone."
There was no other option but to deal with this guy first...

Part 2, After Davis, Returned to the Dorm.
Knock Knock
Davis heard someone knocking on his door and opened it thinking it was Ethan. Just as Ethan commanded using the Hypnosis, he had completely forgotten the events that occurred some times before.
" Hmm... What do you need?" Davis asked calmly.
There was one teacher, a very old looking one and some guards.
" A student is missing, You and Ethan Augustine are accused by her friends of kidnapping her... Based on their suspicions we have to search your room" The teacher spoke calmly... He read the expression on Davis' face which looked like someone that had no idea about what was happening but looked angry.
" Who dared to accuse me? I will not stop you from searching the room... But you should know that I am the son of the Taron family, if these accusations are proven false then I have the right to punish them."
The student behind the teacher was surprised after hearing that... They didn't expect such a reaction from him because they were sure that their plan was working perfectly.
'He is not hesitating, unlike those kids who accused him... Maybe this kid is being played into some kind of scheme by someone else.'
The instructor guessed but entered the room because he needed to search before concluding.
" Search..." He ordered the guards who searched here and there for things even the bathrooms and cupboards.
They found no one inside the room... The expression on the faces of the children stiffened.
"Where is your roommate?" The instructor asked.
" He was gone on a Date today with a girl and hasn't returned... Maybe he is in the gym, he is working hard nowadays on his muscle to impress a dumb girl."
Davis didn't sound happy while talking about Ethan going on a date with a girl he didn't approve of.
The instructor didn't ask anything else... And ordered the guards to check whether or not there are any other evidence.
" By the way... Which student are you talking about?" Davis asked.
" Her name is Laura Mauser..."
" What?"
Hearing that name shocked Davis and he looked panicked...
" But she went to her dorms after we had lunch in the afternoon."
'There is at least a connection...'
" What were you doing after you guys returned?"
" That... I was working out in the gym while waiting for Ethan." Davis answered.
"Hmmm..." The Teacher narrowed his eyes and took out the communicator from his pocket.
He talked with someone to confirm his statement and cut the call.
" You were telling the truth... We also confirmed something, Ethan Augustine is not in the gym... I think your friend might be involved in this."
" I don't care if you are a teacher or not... But I would say one thing. Don't you dare bother Ethan meaninglessly, I will not let that slide."
" Come on now kid... I am just doing my job. Anyway, we will go now and search for your friend and Laura Mauser."
The old teacher smiled and left the room... On their way back he noticed the children who accused him of shaking with fear.
' Interesting... Whoever tried to falsely accuse them seems to have failed.'

Part 3, Ethan's Pov
. . . . .
Being able to cast chant-less spells was something that gives a mage edge over a mage who can't cast chant-less spells.
Fortunately, that guard was unable to cast a chant-less spell and it led to him being pushed back by me. I aimed directly for his forehead with a force that wouldn't make him unconscious but unable to fight for some time.
I was only able to cast some basic spells using chant-less magic... But nothing advanced like hypnosis.
I needed to restrain the man in front of me before casting that spell... After being attacked on his forehead the man momentarily stopped moving, it was like someone had hit his head with a strong fist attack.
" ~Hypnosis~" I cast the spell.
" Forget that you ever saw anyone here and go back to patrolling."
I commanded and rushed to carry Laura Mauser on my shoulder once again and ran towards the forest.
Leaving her in the forest was a cruel thing to do but in the end, she was the one who crossed the line first... There was no need for me to be lenient with her, I have had enough of acting merciful in my previous life towards my enemies.
If they force me then I will show them that I can also Cross The Line.
