Hyperion, a planet twice the size of Earth, is a world dominated by superpowers. Throughout history, every human being has been bestowed with two unique abilities. Humans once reigned supreme over the planet until a group of animals evolved into powerful creatures known as Monsters. The ruler of the Universe, referred to as GOD by mankind, allowed the Monsters to nearly wipe out the entire human population, as humanity had started to doubt the existence of GOD.

However, for reasons unknown, GOD intervened and halted the monster invasion just after they had eradicated exactly 50% of humanity, making his presence undeniably clear. This catastrophic event became known as The Great War. Strangely, after wiping out half of humanity, the powerful Monsters vanished without a trace, leaving only the deceased and those considered "weak" by comparison.

A hundred years have passed since The Great War abruptly ended. In the aftermath, each country united with their respective continent, forming powerful alliances. The Government, now the supreme authority on each continent, maintains control over its territory. To keep a watchful eye on the population, the government established The Hunter Association, which appears to oppose the government in the public eye. However, in reality, the Hunter Association serves as the government's covert intelligence network. The Chairman of the Hunter Association is a close ally of the government, working in tandem to maintain order and protect the interests of the continent.
