Chapter 2 - Episode 2: The Reunion

Main hall

A man who appeared to be in his early 50s was sitting on a throne he seemed to radiate authority. This man was none other than Lee Seung-hoon, the current head of the great Lee family. And two people were in front of him kneeling, these two were none other than Min-ho and Min-Joon.

"Now that you are both legally adults it is time for you to act like responsible adults. Every action you take will be noticed by the public, and it will shape on how they view us. Be better not for yourself but for the family. Is that understood?" a cold gleam seemed to appear in his eyes

They both responded with a "Yes"

"Good to hear now back to your rooms, you still have school tomorrow"

They both left for their rooms

"I wonder if I should tell father about my new ability," says Min-hoo

"No that would be a terrible idea if it got leaked somehow that I have an ability that lets me get stronger endlessly it would be chaos. I doubt I would be safe even with my father's influence the government is just too powerful for one person to handle" Min-joon sighs as he says this

"Well, whatever I won't take such chances unless I have the power to back myself up against the likes of the government. That's why I should consider how to earn more points rather than wasting my time by thinking of such rubbish. Because, in the end, might makes right."

After some hours

"It's a bit annoying I was expecting to get points rather easily but I failed to take into account what the system deems as 'unique' rather than what I deem as 'unique'. I was so excited, but things are just getting more and more complicated by the second. Looks like I need to wait till tomorrow."

The Upcoming day

Phoenix Academy an academy that was established by the government as a high school for the Arvandor's elite. Moreover, this was the school Min-ho and Min-Joon attended.

Students began to enter the complex through a massive gate but when Min-ho entered, they all stopped and moved aside as though a king was passing by and his subjects were making room for him.

Min-ho didn't show any change in his reaction to this as if it was the most normal thing.

'This is the feeling of having power' said Min-ho inwardly with a smirk

He was just walking abruptly he stopped to look at someone it was a man of moderate height

"Well Look who we have here if it isn't my dear hyeong-woo," said min-ho with a smile

"Min-hon please don't be angry I am sorry I had no other choice" the man pleaded in response to his smile

Min-ho added, "I think we ought to go somewhere more private," as he surveyed the area.

After those two went somewhere else

Hyeong's throat was suddenly squeezed by Min-ho, who then lifted him up with one hand to demonstrate his incredible upper body power. Instead of smiling like before, he was glaring at him this time.

"Please don't kill me I really had no other choice" Hyeong started sobbing after seeing the glare 'He is really going to kill me

There are some things you can do and some things you can't, and you did exactly what I instructed you not to you told my brother that I was training. Min-hos strengthened his hold.

And then Min-hos grip relaxed and he let go of hyeong

Without turning around, he added, "If you betray me one more time, I'll actually kill you.

Then Min-ho entered the classroom and sit in his regular room the other students were chattering amongst themselves.

A middle-aged man, who we can presume is the teacher, then entered the room.

Everyone got up and made a bow.

The teacher started the lecture

During the lecture, a student had a question.

"Teacher, what would have been Hyperion's population currently if the 'The Great War' hadn't occurred?"

'That's a pretty interesting question' said Min-ho with some intrigue

"Even though directly 50% of humanity perished at the hands of monsters, there were still many who perished after the war as a result of suffering from wounds that couldn't be treated at the time due to the circumstances and unknown diseases that spread as a result of the monsters. The population would have been at least twice as large as it is today. Death rates would have decreased significantly as a result of our vastly increased technological advancements. The Great War caused many people to pass away on that day, including many of the greatest minds of our time who were alive at the time. If the Monsters hadn't left I doubt humanity would have lived. We still don't for what unknown reason Monsters came or why they left even though they had held the advantage." said the teacher after some time

'Unknown reasons? My ass, it's obvious why they attacked us. God was furious with us since only he could have done it. Even though everyone is aware of this, no one ever expresses it in public. The fact that they dare to call it a war when it was completely one-sided makes it even funnier. The tragedy should have been called The Great Massacre rather than The Great War. I suppose it's to appease the martyrs.' said Min-ho with a mocking smile on his face

After the lecture ended Min-ho went outside to get some fresh air.

"Can I take some of your time? Mr. Min-ho" said a man's silhouette
