With a wild look, he picked up the crystal and crushed it to apply the absorbing effect and within seconds the power washed over his body, illuminating his eyes along the way. The trio looked in awe as they witnessed feats that were unidentified through their knowledge. something felt odd about this guy, somehow he felt like an outsider.

With a burst of energy, Alan regained his balance and dashed toward the guy leaving a beautiful blue trail behind him, holding him by his neck and disrupting his balance through his feet Alan had been able to pin him on the ground, with the victim being surprised by his presence.
"Who are you and why were you fighting that beast?", asked Alan.
"Dude mind your business, isn't it enough that I saved you folks and this is how you repay me", replied the man.
Alan feeling bad for his actions decided to release him but before he could his body vaporized and Alan could feel his presence behind him. Without knowing his next move Alan retaliated once again only to be blocked and kicked in the face. The more confusing thing was that his kick wasn't picked up by Alan's natural perception, this triggered Alan's ego as this was now not about who each other was.
"Wait let me put my playlist on, and here we go come on," said the man.

The Guy's eyes changed shape into a bar-liked shape as he took on a defensive stance while actioning Alan to give his best.
"Well I will give you an eye for an eye", shouted Alan with rage

Taking the shape of the night's new moon, Alan's eyes went almost full dark as he as well took a defensive stance.
"May the best defense win", said the man before initiating the fight.
Barry didn't engage as he was unsure of this guy's abilities and wanted to observe and if the fight got violent then only would he intervene.
The fight started with a basic exchange of fists and kicks with both sides dodging and evading, it almost felt like they both were dancing elegantly but it was the test of patience from both parties and as expected by Alan's behavior he made the mistake of going into offense and in an attempt to land a punch, his opponent laid freeze spell on his feet making him immobile while transforming his fist into a blazing one aimed at Alan's head.
[New Moon]
During this phase, the person receives 3 chances in which his body will react to save him from an avoidable attack, and as the chances are used up the shade of the moon from his eyes will fade away, resulting in reducing overall defense stats of the ability.
With a tint of luck, Alan dodged the attack rotating his upper body to 180 degrees, making eye contact with his opponent, realizing he had no time to escape he had to create some ground amongst them so that he could free himself before his next attack.
[Wind Control]
With no condition to take time to perform abilities, Alan used a basic skill designed to create a bubble of air around him for 5 meters using the surrounding wind so that he could free himself from the trap but his plan wasn't quite executed as he imagined. From Alan's perspective, he saw a hand cut through his wind barrier and grab him by his hair.
"So tough guy I guess you got humbled, Am I right or am I right? asked the man to the other duo but Barry was gone and so was Alan. Both stood at a certain feet away from the man analyzing what had just happened.
"The names Theo and Man was that fun don't you agree?" said Theo while taunting Alan.
Alan knew this wasn't the time to fight a nobody, they needed answers for his presence and the state of the village, but since Alan's tone hadn't been able to end nicely this time it was Barry's approach.
"Look man we don't mean any trouble we were informed that this village was up for recruiting for the light residence but as we all can see it's abandoned and you showing up wasn't helpful so why don't we go our ways", suggested Barry.
"Aight man GG, I hope we meet for another match and in a formal way. Me coming here was a coincident", said Theo
Both parties stepped forward to shake hands to end their brief rivalry, although their suspicion wasn't totally gone.

The surroundings began to darken as their systems gradually shut down, and a sensation of returning to normal human capabilities swept over them. Their eyes transformed back to their usual state, and their strength intentionally diminished. Suddenly, an ominous and vengeful aura emerged on the battlefield, skillfully diverting their focus. Barry had felt this presence before a long time ago but that was way stronger than this, but the resemblance was accurate.

With the last bit of his system activity left he charged up a light bow and arrow aiming at the presence but it stopped mid-way only to burst and brighten the surroundings making the face of the intruder reveal.
"Well good to see you too, Barry Rover", said the leader of the shadows.
With time ticking away and dawn on the horizon, the leader acted quickly. He harnessed his own shadow, transforming it into the shape of a scorpion, and directed it toward Alan's stomach. Without a hint of mercy, the scorpion's sting penetrated Alan's abdomen, commencing the absorption process.
"I am hopeless, I shouldn't have waited, I shouldn't have brought them, I shouldn't be...weak", said Barry.
Alan lost consciousness by the second and soon stood still like a statue due to him being detained. All the other squads couldn't have done anything to free them as this technique was just too advanced for their level.

With a spark of white energy Theo upgraded his teleportation skill to level 3 giving him a new advantage on its use.

With Theo's system eventually shutting down this was his trump card a way to escape and take with him the trio as he had some questions to ask and also because their lives were at risk by someone who was similar from his memories.
