Chapter 2 - All about the Systems

A waiter gently entered the room where Alan was situated and without uttering a single word started to place dishes in Infront of Alan making him more mesmerized rather than listening to what the master was saying.

"you sure are hungry, well help yourself" commented Barry while also grabbing a chopstick to join him.

" hmm..which system do you belong to?" questioned the master.

Before even alan had taken a bite he was met with a weird question he had not anticipated.

"umm.. I don't have a system "

The master and Barry looked at him with funny looks as he proceeded to bite another sushi.

"You don't have to lie to us, Alan your safe here no harm will reach you"

Alan looked at them with a question in his mind to either tell or not and was lost in his thoughts"

"Third time" mocked barry.

"oh, I'm sorry actually I was blessed with an ability that was not known during the dispersion of powers through the crystal it was not discovered until some people who had a banner saying 'shadow' appeared at our clan's footsteps and initiated a blood war and all of my family, friends, relatives were killed while I with any little hope tried to run away but was captured. I was kept in a dark room where a medic would always check up on me take a sample of my blood and run some tests but one day I heard them about killing me for money because now all of a sudden I was of no use to them"

Barry and the Master heard very carefully as alan dictated his dark past

"I'm sorry for your loss truly, but what is your ability ?" asked the master with a more interested look than before.

" I see, you are not one of us, mind telling what is the purpose of your ability" questioned the Master while still reading his interface.

"what does he mean I'm not one of them?" thought Alan while thinking about how to respond.

"It's an ability that grants me the power to modify any known techniques or abilities and make them my own personal ability that suits me and my physique the best".

Before the master could say anything, Alan quickly questioned him, " what do you mean by I'm not one of you? "

"You see my child when our land was blessed with these powers at the start there were ten different crystals that spread to different regions and each had their unique powers but amongst were the yin yang of the whole power system. They were light and shadow crystals. They had dense powers among all and were known as the originators of the power. In the starting, my father the founder of light, and Evan the founder of shadows had great understanding amongst them and were at a peak of friendship but one day, Evans repented his loyalty towards his father and started a war against him with heavy reason in his mind, he believed "There are no shadows without light" and claimed that he wanted to kill my father to take the light ability from his system. A huge war broke out and many innocent people died, the battle's fate was decided by both of the strongest leaders in the world's death. I and Evans's son were present and on that day and he took an oath to demolish the light system from existence and departed. Since that day the many branches rooted into other systems from which we are only aware of four " the five elementals, Magic, Future seekers and The samurai's".

"Samurai's?, I thought they didn't exist," thought Alan

"The clans who saw the immense power of the two rulers were shaken and thought that alliance was the only option for them to survive so amongst the elementals the water, wind, and the lightning clan joined hands with the light while fire and Earth chose paths with the shadows. However, the magic clan, in the beginning, had conjoined with the light but due to some opposition amongst its clan it separated its ways and the majority joined the shadows while a few were left with the light.

"umm sorry to interrupt Master but I have never come across the clan samurai are they new" pondered Alan.

"Good question, the samurai clan has always been a peaceful clan and never engaged in wars or combats thus remaining their presence as a power, hidden."

After the master finally ended his speech there was a moment of silence in which Alan was processing everything that he had said but before he could open his mouth to even say something, a faint voice came from a distance which got louder every second.

"Waaaaaaaah", cried a baby

(someone enters)

It was an absolutely stunning woman with white hair and eyes holding a baby, Her hair was like an ethereal shade of silver-white, shining like a crown of moonlight on her head and her eyes were piercing, crystal-clear white, with an almost otherworldly glow that draws people in and holds their attention.

"This is my wife Sarah and my son Leo" added the Master.

"Uh nice to meet you, mam," said Alan while also observing the baby who had feather-like smooth skin and a tiny glow in his eye.

"Excuse us master it's getting late and we won't interrupt this little fella no more," asked Barry

"Yes, you may, and take good care of Alan," remarked the master

Both of them left the Snyder's residency only to see a huge pavement ahead of them to walk on to reach their residence

"Uh, I hate walking," said Barry while looking at Alan who had the same response written on his face.

"Don't expect me to carry you again" added Barry while giving off a slight laugh.

They walked and walked until they reached their destination they stood outside a beautiful villa.

The villa itself was a magnificent structure, with a classic and timeless design. The exterior was a blend of natural stone and brick, giving it a warm and inviting feel Alan stepped inside through a doorless entrance where he was greeted by a sprawling lawn adorned with a wide variety of vibrant flowers and plants add to perfectly lined cherry blossom trees.

Alan was shaken by this view and questioned beauty itself

"Welcome to the Rovers villa, Come inside there's more to see than the outside" stated Barry

Alan walked in and was yet again met with an unreal vision.

The decor was elegant and understated, with a neutral color palette that complements the natural beauty outside.

"From now on you have to call me by three names, firstly as your teacher, secondly as your roommate, and lastly as your brother, not sure about the last one but it would be great to have a little brother," remarked Barry

Alan felt a warm feeling inside his heart that was just too soothing to let go.

"Understood Brother," said Alan while giving a gentle smile to Barry.
