Chapter 36 - 36. Revelations

JESSICA'S POV

When I woke up, I could tell the bed is a little cold. I turned on my side to see if Santi is there, but he wasn't, which is weird, because since we had returned, he hadn't disappeared like this.

I got out of bed and grabbed Santi's jacket from the chair and left the room. As I was walking down the stairs, I could hear noise coming from the kitchen. Once I got there, I could see Santi concentrated doing something, I have no idea.

"Do you want me to help you with something, love?" I asked with a big smile on my face "Jessica? What are you doing here?" He asked confused, "I woke up without you by my side and I was wondering where you were, that's why I'm here. I'm not a big fan of waking up without you by my side." I informed my fiancé "I'm sorry love, but I wanted to make you breakfast and bring it to bed. Tell me you're not mad about that."

"It's impossible to be mad at you if you do those cute things." I said with a big smile on my face "Thank you, you better sit down, breakfast is almost ready." he reported "Don't you want me to help you with anything?" I asked and he denied, "It's not necessary, but thanks anyway."

I sat down so I could see him, and I'm so focused on watching him move around the kitchen I didn't realize when the others entered the house until I heard Jesy. "Leone, stop ogling your boyfriend with your eyes and better tell me how it was last night." she said, laughing, "Hello to you too, Nelson."

"Hey girls, I thought you weren't going to show up. You took longer than I expected." Santi said with a big smile on his face. "Not even in your dreams, Santi." Carla informed entering the kitchen "I know, Carla, believe me, I know." laughed my fiancé. "The thing, Leone, that's not what I want to know."

"Hey guys, how's your morning?" Miky asked "Well until you came to bother me. Better, tell me what you did yesterday while we were away?" I returned the question "Wow, are you going to control us?" Carla questioned "I wasn't asking you; I'm asking the kids."

"We had a good time. The girls were telling us things about you from before all this happened." reported Miky "I don't know if it's something I should be happy about." I murmured, "Come on, we don't say anything bad about you, we would never do something like that." Perrie protested. "I trust you, Jade and Leigh-Anne, the one I don't trust is the other two."

"Now what are we two supposed to have done to deserve this contempt from you, Leone?" Jesy asked, "Well, in the short time I remember you, you're one of those who tell things to embarrass anyone." I informed and both Carla and Jesy laughed "We love you anyway."

"I'm not so sure about that." I joked "Just know you just broke my poor heart, Jess." Jesy said, feigning pain at my words. "I know better." I laughed "Better, why don't you tell us if you accepted the proposal or not?" Perrie asked with a twinkle in her eye. "Come on, Perrie, you must be blind not to know what he accepted. You just must look at the stone on her finger."

"So, you accepted?" Perrie asked and I snorted "Obviously I was going to accept. I don't even know why the idea I wasn't going to accept crossed your mind." I said, "So we will have a wedding soon?" Jesy asked. "We haven't talked about that yet." Santi responded quickly "But we will talk about it soon, right, love?"

"Whenever you want. By the way, I forgot to tell you yesterday your parents invited us to eat today." informed my fiancé "I have to assume they knew it too, didn't they?" I said, completely sure that's the case. "Yes, they knew it. "I needed all the help I could get to ask you yesterday."

"You have no idea how much I love you." I said honestly, "I can get an idea." he responded with a big smile on her face "Wow, she forgot everything except being affectionate with him, I'm impressed." Jesy said jokingly and everyone laughed.

It didn't take much longer for Santi to finish making breakfast, apparently, he had planned for everyone to appear. After an hour of laughter and stories, me and Santi went to get dressed to go to my parents' house. I didn't really feel like wearing anything too dressed up, so I grabbed some loose sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and the sunglasses, because even though it didn't bother me like it did the other day, the light bothered me a little, and if there's one thing I didn't want, it's for a headache to ruin one of the happiest days of my life.

During the ride to my parents' house, I was listening to how Miky and Madison were talking about what they had done yesterday while we weren't at home, and I must say I wasn't hearing them. I feel bad for not doing so, but I really, at this moment I'm scared. I'm completely sure now we knew I'm pregnant, the surgery wouldn't be as easy as they said it would be, something told me so.

When I realized, we're in front of my parents' house, and both Madison and Miky left with Carla and the girls, and I was going to leave, until Santi took my hand, making me turn to see him.

"Honey are you okay?" my fiancé asked in a worried tone. "I'm worried." I admitted "Why? Is it because you tell your parents we're getting married?" He asked and I denied "No, it's not that." I denied "So?" He questioned, caressing my arms. "Something tells me the surgery isn't going to be as simple as I thought at the beginning."

"Why?" He asked, frowning. "I'm pregnant now, I don't want to risk our child life." I said, "And we won't have to do it, we'll talk to the doctors this afternoon if you want, but now you shouldn't worry about that." He calmly responded, "What if something happens to our child?" I insisted "Nothing will happen to it, and if there's even the slightest idea something happens to it, we'll be sad for a while, but we can try later."

"Really?" I asked, "Of course, love, if I want something with you apart from getting married, it's to start a family. But don't think about that now, okay?" He asked, "Okay, thank you." With that he got out of the car, practically ran to my side of the car, opened the door, as soon as I got out, he hugged me and slowly ran his hand down my back.

"Everything will be fine, and even if it isn't, I'll always be with you and I'll do everything necessary to make it so, okay?" That's why I love this boy more than anything. I may have forgotten everything in my life, but I know that, having him by my side, everything will be okay. "Thank you, I love you, I really do. I don't know what I would do if it weren't for you right now."

"I must thank you, you saved my life, even if you don't know it. Better, why don't we go into the house? Your parents must be wondering where we got into." He said with a smile on his face.

We gave each other a kiss and went towards the house. Apparently, the others had already entered the house. It didn't take us that long to arrive, and before we could enter, my grandmother appeared in front with a big smile.

"Hi Jessica, you look beautiful today." my grandmother said with a big smile on her face "Thank you, can we come in?" I asked, "You don't even have to ask. Every day you look better, Santi." She said, this time focusing her gaze on my fiancé. "I am."

"Your grandmother would be happy to see you happy again." She responded with a small smile on her face. "I'll take care of that personally, Grandma." I assured, "Well girls, I'm going to say hello to Camille and Charles. See you later, love."

He gave me a little kiss and went towards where the voices were coming from and I and my grandmother stayed at the entrance, but this time he closed the door. "Then I take it you agreed to marry the man, didn't you?" She asked and I laughed. "I'm supposed to say it later when everyone is here."

"Oh, come on, I won't tell anyone, I promise." I raised the hand that had the ring on, and she stared at it for a while, but when she looked up, I could see she had tears about to come out of her eyes, so I hugged her. "Why are you crying, grandma?" I asked "Because I'm happy for you. I'm glad you're alive."

"I am too, now don't cry because you'll make me cry." I asked, "Don't do it, woman, they're tears of happiness." He quickly responded, "That doesn't mean I won't start crying." I said, "Why do I get the feeling there's something else you're not telling me?" she questioned "Because there is." I stated "What? It won't be anything bad, right?"

"I'm happy about that, so it can't be anything bad, just unexpected." I sincerely said, "What?" She asked, frowning. "If I show it to you, won't you get too excited?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "I can't promise you that, but I can try. Don't you want to tell the others?"

"I'll tell you later with the other news." I informed "Okay, what is you have to show me?" I took her hand and led it towards my belly which is currently flat. From the look on her face at first, I could see she wasn't understanding anything, but soon, started looking at me and I think there's nothing but joy in her eyes.

"Is that what I'm thinking?" She asked and I nodded "Oh, I'm happy for you Jessica, really. "You will be a great mother." She said with a big smile on her face "I hope so." I responded, "Let's go to the others before they think you didn't show up." my grandma answered, laughing, "I wouldn't do something like that." I assured, "We know, but it shocks us to think a couple of weeks ago you were dead to everyone, and now we have you alive."

"I had a reason to survive that, and here I am." I said with a big smile on my face "I thank whatever is up there you're alive." My grandmother responded, "Me too." We went to the living room and before sitting down, I went to the kitchen where my parents and my sister were to greet them. Let's say I didn't last too long in there, because everything one of them put on a plate or in a bowl, I ate it, so they ended up sending me to the living room where the rest were.

Luckily for me, not much later, they had already finished making the food, so we went to the table and on one side I had Santi and on the other Madison, since Miky had sat next to Carla. "Well, why don't you tell us what we all want to know? Will we have another wedding this year?" My mother asked, "We have no idea if we will get married this year or not, we still have to talk about that, but we're getting married, we are getting married." I assured "Congratulations guys."

"We're happy for you." Jesy said with a big smile on her face. "I'm happy too, but there are more things we have to tell you." I reported "What?" I asked, "First of all, I don't want you to be sad or anything, I'm really fine and it will be over soon, I promise."

"What are you taking about?" practically everyone at the table asked, frowning, "I have a tumour, for four years, but let's say between everything that happened, I didn't have time to remove it, … but I'm fine… I already spoke with the doctors, and they will soon remove it." I said, "What do you mean you have a tumour? For four years? Why didn't you say it before?"

"According to Jackson, I found out about it the day before I left for Los Angeles, and I'm pretty sure I was going to say it, but not on the phone, and then the storm thing happened, and I didn't have a chance to take it out." I said, shrugging my shoulders. "Where is the tumour?" Grandma asked "In the brain, that's probably why I have a hard time remembering things. But I'm fine, it hasn't grown any more in the last year, and between Jackson and Santi found the best doctors."

"Would you really have told us when you came back from Los Angeles?" my sister asked in an annoyed tone. "Honestly, I don't have the slightest idea, but I think so. But there are still more things we must tell you, to be exact, one more." I said with a smile on my face "Tell me at least they're not bad." Perrie asked. "They're not." I stated "What is it? I've never seen that sparkle in your eyes."

"Santi and I are expecting a child." I informed and there was silence in the room "Leone, are you telling me we're going to be aunts? Don't even think about saying it's a joke, because then I'll force you to have sex like rabbits to make it true." Jesy threatened "It's true Nelson, we're going to be parents, but thanks for the suggestion, I will think about it seriously."

"AAAAHHHH, WE WILL BE AUNTS." I could see how everyone became happy and the sadness that had been implanted at the table a couple of minutes ago turned into happiness. Santi put an arm over my shoulders, brought me closer to him and I kissed him. "You have managed to make no one sad, at least for a while." He said with a smile on his face "That's what it was about, but I have to tell you something very important."

"What?" He asked and my smile widened. "I love you, Santiago De Luca." I said with a big smile on my face "I love you too Jessica Leone, more than anything in this world. Well, now our child too." We had another kiss, but it didn't last as long as I'd like because everyone started hugging us. Miky was crying, hugging my legs and I was running my hand down his back. The girls were trying to calm Leigh-Anne who was also crying. If this continues, I would soon follow the path of both of them, but I know they are tears of joy, and it can be said this is another of my happiest moments that I remember and could remember.
