Chapter 16 - 16. This Cannot be real!

The ultimate power, my foot.

A frown appeared on the gigantic but awe-inspiring face of the goddess- "I know it hard for you to get you head around but this is who you are Sophia, you are in fact the lost princess of an entire world and will soon be its Empress. It is your destiny and only you can fulfil it."- the celestial being told her.

Sophia felt like she had been seen through or her mind read and that made her feel uncomfortable but hey she is still currently floating in what seems to be the vastness of space with a giant goddess in front of her, so being comfortable and not having her mind read might be a big ask. Oh, and let's not forget, all this whilst looking at a face that looks exactly like her own!

I… am probably dreaming but for the life of herself she felt like this wasn't a dream and she didn't know why this thought was prominent. Anyway, as Sophia was trying to get her head around everything that was happening, the goddess suddenly said, -"I will show you something important, it related to you but it may be jarring." To Sophia disbelief, her surroundings started to melt away like it was melting after hot water was thrown on it.

It was jarring, before her eyes Sophia saw the scenery change and she was now looking at what looked like earth but it was much, much larger, it was ginormous like the size of Jupiter maybe even bigger, and there was not just one sun but two, one that looked like the earth's sun and the other that looked reddish and was a little bit bigger the other and was directly behind the other sun, whoever they looked so much smaller in caparison to the planet she was looking at, which was probably why they were much closer the planet without hurting it.

It looked like earth at the first glance but now noted it was different, she finally noticed this now, as she observed it. The continents she could see from her vantage point looked larger and where of different shapes, and the land she could see looked much greener in some places and of many different colours in some, it was definitely not earth.

It was an amazing and awe-inspiring sight to see. "Where am I, this… is not earth, so where have you brought me too?" Sophia asked the goddess as she turned around, which she noticed now she could do. She had full movement now. Which made her understand that her previous immobility had something to do with the goddess. "This is Gilthara, your home world."- The goddess said looking at the planet with the look of love and some nostalgia in her gaze, which Sophia noticed. However, she couldn't concentrate on that now. Sophia couldn't believe what she heard. 'Her what!!!'

"I beg your pardon!" Sophia exclaimed, not meaning to sound rude, but she just couldn't believe it, her home planet! As in where she was born. "Ermmm… whew, I think I'm having a stroke. I need to sit down." The goddess chuckled at her reaction, which again added to Sophia surprise as it sounded so like her own and she just knew, deep down more surprises were coming. "Ok, I understand your reaction and that this is a huge shock to you but there is nowhere to sit right now."- The goddess said with a glint in her eyes, 'she's obviously finding this amusing.' Sophia thought.

But honesty she was being shown her home planet, the world she was from. To be honest she had thought that when the goddess said that Sophia was "the lost princess of an entire world and will soon be its Empress." She assumed it was earth. Why she didn't this about it maybe there was secrets about the earth that she didn't know but now…This information… It was an existence changing event not just life changing. She wanted to memorise the sight of it, from what she could see, the lands, the seas that looked so blue that it was almost crystal looking, it was all spectacular.

There were vibrant colours in some areas, and she wanted to explore them more, she wanted to go down to the surface of the planet, Gilthara, if she remembered correctly, and she wanted to explore it all, to see everything she could. This was her home.

As this thought crossed her mind, the goddess who was giving her time to observe the planet and digest it all, she decided it was time to speak up, as she had to complete her task as it was an important one. So much depended on this.

"It's time to show you the history of Gilthara but I need you to understand that it will be an illusion of the world, so it's not real and nothing can hurt you as it won't be real."- The Goddess said as she somehow turned Sophia around to face her, she had obviously used her power to do this.

So now Sophia was facing the goddess as she was explaining this to her. "An illusion of the planet? Why? Why do you have to show me the history of Gilthara?"- Sophia asked confused. She was again baffled by all of this. "It's because it all ties into your future, Sophia. Remember I told you; you are the ultimate power, and you will need to be strong for what is to come.
