Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

Diane's POV

'Come on Anna answer'

I prayed after 2 minutes of the phone trying to get through that silly lass of my sister. Anna would answer in 30 seconds usually, not 2 minutes, its driving me worried nuts.

"Di..."

A familiar faint voice answers weakly to me. "What happened Anna?" I asked her trying to not panic myself to what she might answer to me.

"Wir haben einen Räuber im Haus. (We have a robber in the house.)"

She whisper-answers my question in German. "Du machst Witze?! Wo sind alle? (You kidding me?! Where's everybody?)" I panickily ask her. What she says next did send me shaking on my knees, wishing I had never asked the question:

"Wir sind alle in der Notlage und warten darauf, angerufen zu werden. (We are all in the emergency, waiting to be called.)"

I landed up packing my lunch and run hurriedly back to look for my superior until I missed a step and slipped. It wasn't until a huge arm seems holding me that I know that at least I broke no bones.

I opened my eyes as I was being put down. It was him, the already notable John McForbes himself. "Sei vorsichtig. (Be careful.)" He tells me in German as he puts me down to ground.

"D-Danke...(T-Thank you...)"

I thanked him. "Your German is quite good." I shyly scratched my head. "My mother's born in Germany." He explains scratching his head well.

"I'm of German descent too." I smile a little saying though was surprised by what he told me. "Family name?" He asked me. "Raussen." I answer quickly.

"Diane Jane Raussen."

I introduced myself right after that. "Don't mind me being poking nose asking, but its everything alright?" He soon asks me. I then remembered about my family being in the emergency room after being robbed though one thing soon comes into mind:

Should I go? What will people think of me if I just go like that on my first day?

Keona's POV

"I hope today we aren't here for your WELL-NEEDED lecture, Mrs Wanda Grasby"

My husband Henri tells Glen's homeroom teacher as we seat down on these seats with shabby cushions she had in her office. Now I understand why Glen always tell me that she needs better cushions.

"Of course not, I just want to wonder why Mr Glen Dickens, your boy, is able to answer final year high school Science with accurate precision when he's only in 7th grade."

She says putting papers out in front of us, it is final year high school Science and to my shock, the handwriting indeed belongs to my boy Glen. I had no doubt because I was the one who teach him how to write like that.

Yes I know I'm shameless when it comes to that but what's the point of lying about that?

"Do you have the answer sheets for these questions then?"

I calmly asked Mrs Grasby as she had a reputation for being answer flop-sided in this school. "Of course I have for evidence, Deputy Chief Shyden." She says confidently taking out the books as well.

"I am even wondering myself where did he gets this from?"

She continues as even Henri himself also get dumbfounded when he tallies the questions from the books Grasby has to the answers written by Glen on the paper.

"Believing what I said now Mr De Hunt, Deputy Chief Shyden?"

She looks at both of us, with that stupid sarcastic look asking. "Of course and what can we do about THAT?" My husband give her the same look asking back.

"I know of this school your boy can go to if he passes our upcoming Science test with flying colours, the one in Milwaukee will be not an issue for that young chap."

Grasby answers. I can see Henri may look like the most compromising person in the world but it seems he like I, has seen through enough of Grasby's nonsense to be uncertain.

After a while in that dreadful office, Henri and I walked out as fast as we could after saying our goodbyes. "Is it just me or this school is deemed on being dark?" Henri asks me quietly as we leave.

"Pretty much, anything flawed on the individual is dark to them." I answered back quietly. "But how they produced top tier students for the Ivy League is truly questionable." I added on as we get into the car.

"Since I don't have work today, I can go fetch Marie and Victoria. Pierre on the other hand, has no school assignments so he's at home."

Henri tells me as he starts up the car once we both got in. "Has anybody contacted you about Gloria?" He soon asks me as he drives out of the parking lot.

Gloria may not be his biological child like Glen and Gwen but he is quite the father figure.

"Nope which is good news because I don't need to deal with another irresponsible educator who only knows how to mold the worst out of an individual."

I said while looking at the scenery. "You're sure quite the hands-off parent. Aren't you worried if something bad happens to the kids one day out of your watch?" Henri chuckles a little asking.

"As long as they're not reckless, I'm not very worried." I shrugged my shoulders answering. "I will flat-lined if I'm to worry every second, minute, hour of every day in this life." I added on saying.

-1 Hour Later-

I was dropped off back to the FBI office and saw Antonio looking unusually pale, sitting on the bench near the vending machine as I was walking back to my office.

"Erm Tony?"

I waved my hand in front of his face which he didn't respond. "Antonio?" I waved once again. He didn't respond to in which I put my hand over his forehead.

'He isn't sick either, strange...'

I think to myself looking at Antonio able to last that long in the exact same spot cause the Antonio Montessori I know is quite a BABY for a man that is as tall as Buster Douglas.

Just as I was thinking how to call him again, the Chief walks over and looks at me. "I don't know" I whispered shrugging my shoulders.

"Let me see"

The Chief says wondering about for something until he goes towards the vending machine to slot in comes in for a bottle of Clearly Canadian.

'He really isn't going for that on his own son right?'

I think to myself as he opens the bottle cap before going towards Antonio and to my shock, really does pour the whole bottle of sparkling water on his face much to my horror.

"OH MY G-WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!"
