Chapter 7 - Chapter 6

Keona's POV

"Your staff is clearly abusing students."

The Chief tells Beaufort off when he showed him the injuries my daughter has sustained thanks to Makhov's abuse.

"I maybe old but I'm not stupid to believe sports can give injuries like that." He tells Beaufort sternly when he tries the usual tactics he will do to every issue brought forward to him.

"Unless you want to tell me the grasses here are made of metal?" The Chief continues. "Of course not, Chief." Beaufort shook his head shyly, acting humble which is very much unlike him.

This is why home education should exist, cause people like Makhov and Beaufort disgust me big time.

"People like you really disgust me." Chief then starts his charade of destroying Beaufort. "I may not have the best education for a school headmaster but definitely turning blind eye on abuse isn't what a person in your position should do." He continues as Beaufort just listens in and doesn't cut people off like what he usually does.

"If school abuse was ever a fed law, you and Makhov won't even LAST A SECOND in the penitentiary." He adds on without mercy. "Makhov is a new staff here and we can have different cultures here lingering together-" Beaufort downplays as always rebuking to Chief which backfires massively.

"DIFFERENT CULTURES AND ABUSE DOESN'T GO TOGETHER YOU CHAP!"

Chief cuts him off snapping. "YOU ARE EITHER HAVING YOUR STAFF PUNISHED OR I WILL MAKE THIS A BIG NEWS, YOU AND MAKHOV WILL HAVE THE EDUCATION BOARD TO ANSWER." He adds on shouting loudly.

"LET'S GO DEPUTY CHIEF, DON'T WASTE OUR TIME ON THIS LOWLIFE IGNORANT FOOL!"

Chief turns to me saying angrily still. I didn't even give Beaufort his chance to explain and just up and leave with my boss.

"Are you okay, Chief?"

I asked the moment we are back in my car and going to drive back to the headquarters. "Hope I didn't give you a hard time" He says sounding less angry than before. "No, I should thank you for helping me." I reassure and thanked him instead for his help.

"No worries. I can see this Beaufort is a moron of another class. The fact that education degree can be given to fools like him." He then says.

"I am thinking of putting Gloria in another school but problem is she is halfway through her final year." I nod explaining. "Home education? She can take her final year as a private student." He suggests looking up to me.

"Will that work though, Chief?" I asked him uncertain. "I can help you write to the education board if you want to." He offers his help always. "Thank you, Chief." I thanked him with a smile as we continue the journey back.

Letizia's POV

I was in my office, working and catching up on what I have missed when Felicita came in with her uncle, my mentor Giuseppe.

"Good morning you two." I greeted them both. "Likewise" They both said sitting on my office couch smiling. "I see you both are happy today." I pointed out.

"We are happy cause its closer to the date where I can finally let the batch I had now go to their respective stations." Felicita answers with a wide grin.

"Wondering though if I should approach the Deputy Chief why she wants my son?" I asked looking at them both. "Deputy Chief Shyden?" Giuseppe asks.

"I know she's quite the veteran but why John." I explain about my son being under Deputy Chief to them both. "She seems very interested somehow when she got the list." Felicita tells me.

"Did she say why?" I asked her and she shrugs her shoulders. "No clue why" She says. "But you may never know, Lets, your boy might be the next big thing." Giuseppe adds onto what Felicita has said.

"Next big thing?" I looked at them both confused, not knowing what the two of them talking. "Remember me telling you the Chiefs usually being promoted from Deputy Chief themselves." He then reminds me. "I do remember." I nod my head saying.

"I don't really though, hope for anything big but for my children to be happy and safe." I then said to both of them. "But your boy does shown a lot of potential." He reminds me with Felicita agreeing.

"It may sound nice but how nice truly to know my son shows lots of potential." I said as I remember the day Paul passed.

~FLASHBACK~

"The most promising is the most vulnerable..."

~•••~

'The same won't be applied to John right?' I think to myself as I remember Paul's last words that day. "He can have a future definitely as good as anybody else for all you know." Felicita says with a smile.

"Yeah yeah yeah, wait till you have children of your own Feli." Giuseppe tells his niece who just responded with her usual cheeky tongue roll.

"Oh well since we have new supplies of Luminol, I need you two to come in with me quick." I then stand up and get them two to follow me to work on a case we're supposed to work on.

-At The Lab-

"This is the mattress from the Nat Hayden case, how did you manage to get it?"

Giuseppe soon recognizes the mattress I have gotten people to get the other day for a 10 year old murder I'm working on. "I have my ways." I said to him and Felicita before taking the Luminol and start spraying on the mattress.

This got them both shocked and surprised as after I turn off the lights and use the UV on the mattress where the seemingly clean mattress has actually have blood all over.

"No way..."

Giuseppe looks at the mattress in shock. "Questa è una soluzione interessante! (That is one cool solution!)" Felicita nods her head agreeing with her uncle.

"I need your help, can you both do it?"

I then asked them both. "Of course!" They both agreed looking at me excitedly as I have a thought in my mind.

"Help me get the case to my son if you had the chance to. Don't ask why, you will eventually understand"
