Pressila walked over the trees of the forest with Eve and Fenrir on her shoulder.
"You guys, how many more pieces of fragments are there?" Pressila asked
"From what the master has told us, there are 13 pieces," Eve responded.
"So if we have 4 fragments so far that means that there is 9 fragments left?"
"Precisely"
Fenrir yawned. "I haven't done this much travelling around in all my life. It's also exciting because there are many powerful opponents out there that I would like to fight," Fenrir said.
"Don't you ever think about something else besides fighting? " Eve wondered.
"I think about different things."
"Name one."
"Well, I think about food, sleeping and teasing Lucifer hehehehe—hm?"
Fenrir stopped laughing and sniffed the air.
'Blood?'
"Pressila head towards the village as fast as you can," Fenrir ordered.
"Why is something the matter?"
"Just do it!"
Pressila ran as fast as she could, trampling the ground as she ran through the trees. She took them all the way to the village on the other side of the mountain. The sky was covered with dark clouds and the air was cold. Fenrir and the others were shocked to see what was before them. Dead bodies of different monsters laying on the ground.
"What happened here?" Pressila asked as she covered her mouth.
Fenrir heard something up ahead and ran over the dead bodies towards the square of the village. A dogman sitting on the ground amongst the dead bodies looked up at the person standing before him with a face of despair.
"P-Please don't kill me."
Suddenly his head was cut off his body and his blood gushed from his neck. Fenrir and the others reached the square and stopped when they saw someone standing in the middle of the pile of dead monsters. It is a woman around 20 years old, with platinum coloured hair, purple eyes. Her body was adorned in a white leotard with light silver armour on her legs, amrm and high with a purple coat attached to it. The woman turned around and Eve saw a button attached to her coat of golden angel wings.
"That woman is a Paladin," Eve stated.
"Just our luck we ran into one of them, I hate Paladin like a sickness," Fenrir complained.
Paladin are knights of the highest order. They're the strongest of humans and are tasked with not only protecting a kingdom but the entire human race.
"More of you, doesn't matter, this won't take long," The woman said.
"Hey bitch, what the hell did you do to these people?" Fenrir barked.
"People, these are monsters and a plague on this world. It is my duty as a paladin to purge all evil. My name is Rosario Duchriet, be prepared to die by my blade."
Rosario pointed her sword at the three of them and after Eve got a good look at the sword she panicked.
"That's the holy sword Excalibur!"
Eve and Fenrir were shocked to see the sword in Rosario's hand. It was a silver longsword with no guard. It has flat edges with a four pointed rainbow coloured star stretching from the hilt to the tip of the blade on both sides.
"That's not good, her power level is 81,000. She's as strong as Lucifer," Fenrir said as she wore an arrogant smile. "Now this is the kind of fight I'm looking for."
"Don't be foolish, we have to retreat and return to the master's side," Eve suggested.
"I won't Let you leave."
Rosario erected a barrier over the village. Pressila attacked the barrier with her axe and was repelled away.
"I can't breach the barrier."
"That is not all, our power is growing weaker," Fenrir said as she felt her magicles depleting rapidly.
"This is a holy barrier that purifies all negative energy within it that means your magicles as well. Now prepare to be slain monsters."
Rosario charged at Fenrir and swung her sword at her head. Fenrir managed to dodge by a hair and Rosario's sword cut the building in half diagonally. Fenrir panicked and leaped back as fast as she could.
"What the hell, how could that flat sword have such sharp edges, I thought it was dull.'
"Simpleton that Excalibur is the most powerful sword in the world," Rosario stated.
"Who are you calling a simpleton?" Fenrir shouted her question.
"At any rate we should hold her off the best we can."
Eve summoned her two demonic swords.
"Earth's Judgement."
Pressila spun around her axe and swung it down in the ground. The ground cracked all the way to Rosario while releasing a bright light. Suddenly an earth spike attacked her from underground. Rosario blocked her sword and was pushed over a hundred feet into the air by the earth spike. She landed on the other side of the village and the moment she landed Fenrir appeared behind her.
"I've got you."
Fenrir swung her claws at Rosario's head who suddenly blocked with her sword without looking around.
'What?! Does she have a Magic Perception like Lucifer?' Fenrir asked herself.
"Begone."
The rainbow colour star on the blade started to fire light beams at Fenrir cutting her body into pieces.
"Fenrir!" Pressila called out
She was suddenly shot through the abdomen by a light beam. Pressila coughed up blood and fell over on her side.
"Pressila," Eve called out.
She suddenly turned around and quickly blocked Rosario's unexpected attack. Eve struggled under the superior strength and power of Rosario. Suddenly the demon swords in Eve's hand started to crack and shattered then she received a wound across the chest.
"You bitch!"
Fenrir attacked Rosario using lighting and she blocked with a shield.
"You were still alive?" Rosario asked.
"You're going to pay for what you did, You're going to paaaaaay!"
Fenrir released lightning at Rosario that took the form of a ferocious wolf. Rosario didn't budge at this coming attack but casually swung her sword vertically not only splitting the wolf but Fenrir in two. Rosario was attacked from behind by an axe and she casually blocks. She turned around and saw Pressila barely standing on her feet.
"You monsters are very tenacious," Rosario spoke.
Pressila started to get dizzy and fell over in the ground with her eyes open.
"I'll finish you off properly."
Rosario charged straight at Pressila who could only watch the sword coming towards her. Suddenly a black lightning strikes from the sky, breaks the barrier and lands between Pressila and Rosario. When the dust dissipates it was Lucifer. His eyes was opened, his body discharging black lightning, His curse mark appeared on his neck and he was holding Rosario's sword with his right hand clad in darkness.
"I think that's enough," Lucifer said.
Pressila saw his back, her vision became blurry and slowly closed her eyes.
