Lucifer kept a tight grip on Rosario's sword. He looked at Fenrir whose body was in two halves, then at Eve who was covered in blood and Pressila who had a hole in her stomach. Lucifer remained expressionless and closed his eyes. Rosario pulled her sword away and quickly jumped back.
'This boy was able to catch Excalibur with his bare hand, and he was able to break my holy barrier with ease, who is he?' Rosario asked herself.
"Did you do this?...Are you the one who harmed them?" Lucifer questioned.
Rosario didn't respond immediately, she stood up straight and relaxed herself. "Yes," she responded with a straight face and a glare.
"Why?'
"I am a Paladin, it is my duty to protect humanity and purge this world of all evil. If you stand in my way, monster, I will have no choice but to kill you."
"I see…"
Lucifer stood silently for a minute before he started to walk towards Rosario.
"If that's what you want then so be it."
Rosario charged toward Lucifer with her sword and swung at his neck. Suddenly the sword struck something hard, it was the darkness that covered Lucifer's neck.
"Impossible."
Rosario was surprised. Lucifer clenched his fist and clad it in darkness then punched Rosario right in the stomach. His fist penetrated the barrier around Rosario and connected with Rosario's stomach. Her body was bent into a C and was sent flying like a bullet. Rosario kept crashing through the trees, rocks and rolled away. She stopped rolling until she was over 20 kilometres away. She was on her knees and gasping for air as she looked at the fist dented into her abdomen.
Lucifer appeared beside her and raised his foot high into the air. At the speed of sound he brought his foot down on the back of Rosario's neck and smashed her face against the ground. The impact caused the ground all around him to crack and rupture. Lucifer held her by her hair and lifted her face up. Her nose and her forehead was bleeding but Lucifer didn't care, he punched her straight in the face knocking her teeth in.
"Nobody hurt my wives so, you die."
Lucifer released Rosario and took up the sword Excalibur then with one swing he cut Rosario four limbs off. She screamed in pain as blood gushed out of her body, her white clothes were painted red with gore, her eyes were blood red and her face was warped with pain and despair.
"I'm going to make you suffer an agonising death you'll remember even in the afterlife."
Lucifer raised his sword and was about to cut off her head when Mero rushed over and hugged him from behind.
"Wait, please don't do it."
"Mero,what are you doing here?"
"The others are okay, Fenrir was able to regenerate herself and Lelania is healing the others as we speak. It's over now, you don't have to kill her."
"You're defending this human, have you gone mad Mero?"
"I'm not protecting her, I'm protecting you from the aftermath. If you kill her not only does the kingdom she serves, but the entire human race as well as the summoned heroes who caused you so much suffering. Please think about it."
Mero looked at him with eyes filled with desperation. Lucifer was filled with rage and wanted to kill her but Mero's words made him couldn't understand what to do. Lucifer pushed her off him and back into the chair.
"I only spared her because you told me to but if she dared to harm the others again I'm holding you accountable Mero."
"U-understand," she stuttered.
For a moment there Mero was terrified of Lucifer. He walked past her with Excalibur in his hand and she watched him walk away. Merona turned to Rosario and was still on the ground bleeding to death.
"Let me help you,"
"G-get away from me monster," Rosario said in a hostile voice
"Please I mean you to harm, I just want to help."
Mero lifted her dress a little and showed her tail.
"I'm a mermaid and I'm good with water magic, I can help you."
Mero gathered water and enveloped Rosario in the pool of water that floated in the air. The water started to glow and slowly healed Rosario's body, even her missing limbs grew back. A few minutes later the water disperse and Rosario lands on her feet. She looked at her hands and clenched her fist.
"Why did you help me?" She asked.
"I just wanted to help."
" Don't give me that, you're up to something. All you monsters are the liars and deceitful "
"I do suppose you're right, why would I stop my Husband from killing you, a human. It's simple," Mero said. Then she opened her eyes, they were empty as they looked at Rosario. "For our sake I don't want to launch a world war against the humans."
"You're really a monster," Rosario muttered.
In the meantime
Lucifer returns to the others and sees Lelania finishing up Pressila healing. They turned and looked at Lucifer who was holding the holy sword Excalibur in his hand.
"Hey Lucifer, is that Excalibur?" Fenrir asked.
"Yes"
"Are you okay Husband? please throw that thing away," Lelania suggested as she seemed afraid of that sword.
"Pressila, Eve, Fenrir are you okay?" Lucifer asked concernedly
"Yeah you can see for yourself Lucifer," Fenrir responded.
"Thanks to Lelania I didn't die," Pressila said.
"We're sorry we failed you master" Eve said with her head down.
"Why would you recklessly run into danger? Are you trying to get yourself killed or the three of you trying to give me more headaches than I have. What do you three have to say for yourself?"
Lucifer scolded them and this was the first time he has done such a thing. It saddened all three of them because they knew they were wrong.
"Hey chill out, we're sorry," Fenrir apologised, then she averted her eyes.
"Sorry isn't good enough, you need to learn to think with your head fenrir..."
Lucifer stopped arguing and turned around. Mero returned with Rosario's by her side and upon seeing her they rushed to guard Lucifer. Rosario was surprised to see her sword in Lucifer's hand.
'Impossible, how is he holding the holy sword ? More importantly, why did it acknowledge him as its master?'
Rosario ask herself
"Please do not worry, for Rosario doesn't have the will to fight anymore," Mero reassured them
"Why are you with that bitch Mero?" Fenrir asked in a hostile voice.
"I'm sure that there must be a valid reason for what happened."
"There is no valid reason, I'm a Paladin, it's my duty to purge all evil and bring peace to this world. It's my mission to exterminate monsters because they killed my family," Rosario stated.
An owl soars high in the sky looking down on the village. In a dark room with torches there was a throne and sitting on that throne was a man in a large robe that hid his face. He was looking at Lucifer through the eyes of the owl.
"That body wields the power of darkness and is able to fight against the wielder of Excalibur. He's the one, he has the power I seek. I must obtain that power for myself," He said.
There were a few shadows standing by his throne.
"Then would you like us to obtain that power for you master?"
"It will be easy."
"Just give us the word."
They all wanted to go but the man didn't reply to them but instead got a closer look at Lucifer's face.
"Bring that boy to me," he ordered.
