There are numerous ability users in the world, fighting against intruders of foreign forces encroaching upon the territory. To stop the pollution and corruption of their world and upkeep the peace in this world, they become the strongest sword and shield. Most of the world's inhabitants are kept in the dark about these corrupted incidents while government forces around the world united to work together in tandem to prevent a worldwide apocalyptic event.
Method: To abduct and train ability users, mutants and other newborns in special training facilities from a young age to ensure absolute obedience and loyalty. Grasping the unknown power in their hands, they would have suitable bargaining chips that will help them resist this calamity. The destruction of any civilization will bring them back hundreds of years and that is something no single country in the world would accept. Of course, most of the secret organizations established adopt a more democratic approach. Lots of benefits were given to both their family members and the ability users themselves in return for their service. This is to minimize risks and any unwanted issues from the discrepancy of their lifestyles compared to normal citizens.

Xiao Mo had always been an oddity in the training facility. She looks normal, behaves normally and even her ability was pretty hard to determine as it exists in a spiritual state instead of a physical manifestation. However, she was treated courteously and well-protected by both her agents and the other ability users around her. She was quiet, obedient and aside from her slightly lack of emotions, she was a companion that everyone subconsciously wants to support and protect. She was an existence that serves a purpose akin to a 'good luck charm' to her colleagues.
Other than that, her ability was also considered a trump card for the organization. Of course, there are times when her abilities backfired or didn't result in the best outcome, everyone was still in awe of her powers. She lived a pretty normal life (as an ability user) and completed countless missions with different teams till she reached the legal age of 16. She was allowed to move out from the training facility and experience the second stage of her life with more freedom (with limited supervision). She was free to date other people and expand her social circles like any normal citizen would, under a confidential agreement.
Therefore, 'Alyss' became an identity that she would only put on when she interacts with other ability users. However, the world after leaving the training facility isn't as beautiful as it seems. Without the 24-hour supervision and protection of her guardian agents and others, she soon fell victim to evil schemes and within the span of a few months, almost lost her life.
The accident left her crippled in a wheelchair and her indifferent personality became even colder and more twisted. This was also part of the backlash caused by her natural talent and ability. As the corruption of both her body and mind worsen, she finally resolved to avenge herself. All the traitors who harmed her, and the ignorant degenerates of the world, would pay their price in full.
Alyss had never exerted the full extend of her powers before as the consequences could be unimaginable if her abilities ran awry. However, this time, she directly consumed almost 90% of her spirit powers to show the world the true colours of this safety bubble they were living in.
Countless space fragments were torn apart as their destructive force were amplified again and again. The 'Devil' tribe residing within these otherworld portals in the space above the planet also took this opportunity to escape and invade into this new realm.
Of course, the government alliance can continue to resist with their extended forces, but they can never keep the truth wrapped under covers for long. The world deserves to know the truth. They deserve to see how the peaceful lives they were living comes at very steep costs; the sacrifice of many selfless ability users. The ones they detest and call 'monsters'.
