In a dimly lit chamber filled with various technological devices, a gaming pod opened and a man that looked quite feeble walked out of it with a smile on his face.
"Welcome back Master, you took quite long in the game, was he as expected?" A man covered In a dark cloak asked while kneeling
The old man just smiled in response as he said "It was a wise decision to invest in Technology, being able to own such a groundbreaking tech from the shadows and having to decide every little thing does have it pecks"
He stared at a file of a youth on the desk deep in thought and after a while he turned to look at the man in front of him and said "How's the information gathering on the 4 clans commencing?"
"At the moment information on the Light clan is still hard to come by but there is an internal conflict between the other 3 clans and the tension is high at the moment due to the event that occurred as you already know and a full-scale battle might begin anytime soon Master" The masked man replied.
"Hahaha, Good very good, These younglings only ever think of themselves and those old bastards in the second domain don't bother to teach them properly, I guess it is up to me to teach them proper manners" The old man said with a huge grin on his face.
"Recall the rest of the group and prepare for battle" The old man said as he walked out of the chamber while muttering " A change is coming"

A gaming Pod opened in another location and a youth walked out of it with a huge frown on his face while spacing out.
"What the hell just happened, why did it have to be him, was this a coincidence or planned, this is all too confusing really" Timeless muttered to himself while recalling the events that unfolded.
His mind flashed back to the moment the mysterious old man walked up to him and whispered in his ears before disappearing, leaving only a name reverberating in the arena "Tempus"
"Welcome back Timeless, I was beginning to worry about you, you spent almost 14 hours in there was it so much fun that you probably thought for a second you don't need need to eat anymore, did you perhaps forget you are still mortal? a few hours more and I would have likely disconnected you from the pod" Luoyang berated with puffed cheeks.
"I sort of lost Track of Time my bad, I'm sorry Luoyang" Timeless quickly answered after being drawn back to reality.
"Is that so? You were saying something just now did you meet someone you knew" Luoyang asked
"No No it was nothing, I just thought of something is all" Timeless said while trying to sound as sincere as possible.
"There's something that I've been wanting to ask you but never got the chance to, I think right now is a good enough Time to say it" Luoyang said with a serious face.
Upon Seeing the seriousness on her face Timeless knew it might be something important so he nodded his head in compliance.
"First of all I would like to ask you to not be hard on Guinevere, she's had it rough herself and unlike me she had to brave through it all on her own, when you get to know the real her she's actually quite nice" Luoyang said looking quite sad.
Timeless frowned at this as he couldn't wrap his head around the thought of Guinevere being nice but he couldn't be one to judge though he trusted Luoyang judgment and was willing to hear her out before making his decision.
Seeing Timeless having no reaction to his request she sighed and said " I'll tell you a little history about my past Timeless and after listening I hope you could at least judge for yourself what is right or wrong"
18 years ago my Father Marcus lost his wife, Guinevere mother during child birth and due to the fact he didn't want Guinevere to grow up without a mother so he remarried an outsider from a small clan.
This outsider would eventually give birth a year later to a little girl of her own and after 10 years of living together in a perfect loving home it all shattered on one fateful day, The day the outsider attempted to assassin my father but failed in her attempt as my father never did love her as she thought, everything was just a facade.
Seeing no other way the outsider tried to take her own life by slitting her throat but was stopped by my father who caught her just in time but he didn't safe her because he cared he did so because he wasn't to get information out of her.
Weeks of torture resulted in her spilling every information she knew as she was given a quick death being frozen into an ice sculpture and with a slash she shattered, this outsider my mother the cause of the great change you see in Guinevere at the moment as she witnessed the event unfold.
You do not know the pains she's in everyday, she never made me feel sad, lonely or put any blame on me, she loved me the same way she always did and for that I ask that you don't hold anything against her, for what you see now is a result of a broken home, that mask she puts on is just a way of hiding the pains she's suffering.
" Now that you know all this, I do hope you can see her in a new light Timeless," Luoyang said while walking towards the exit
Timeless stared at her departed figure as his heart ached a bit not knowing what to do with this new information, although he hated the frost clan he couldn't actually hate every member of the clan as in the case with Luoyang who he treated him more like a human compared to the rest, when he thought back to the fateful encounter with the blackout leader and the fact he had called him master he was filled with indecision.
He walked towards the exit as he muttered "hopefully I can make the right choice"
