The Vine woman stared at him for a moment longer, her eyes piercing into his soul. Finally, she stood up from the vine chair and walked towards him, stopping just a few inches away from his face. "Very well," she said, her voice low and menacing. "I'll spare your life for now. Although it would be best to kill you now and eradicate a potential threat in the future."
"I might have overdone it a bit," she said as she scanned the grove while scratching her hair.
