As the Greater Warden charged Ryder, our hero infused his hands with magic to deal extra damage to his foe. Ryder leaned to the right to dodge a punch from the Greater Warden before he grabbed the Greater Warden's arm and spun it around before throwing it at a building. The Greater Warden crashed through the large window and knocked over some shelves. Ryder then launches a barrage of Magic orbs at the Greater Warden causing many explosions to ring out which destroyed the building and the two neighboring buildings. Ryder stopped his magic orb barrage and leaped up into the air. He used his magic to gain more altitude before he charged up a single orb of magic. The Greater Warden flew out of the smoke cloud and up at Ryder. Ryder dove to the side and dodged the Greater Warden before he threw his Magic orb at the Grimm causing yet another large explosion.
But the smoke didn't dissipate as the Greater Warden forced the cloud aside with its wings and roar. Cracks started appearing on the Grimm's armor.
"Damn. This thing is tough." Ryder comments.
The Greater Warden stops its roar and prepares to charge Ryder, but three violet energy javelins hit the beast in the side and blew up in a smaller explosion compared to the magic one. Ryder looked to the source and saw Kairos flying in. The Greater Warden saw Kairos and launched a Sonic Wave at him. Kairos forms a barrier and defends against it. Ryder dashed at the Grimm and punched it in the face with all his might causing it to recoil from the punch. Ryder then delivers a strong kick to the beast's chest knocking it back. A violet energy tendril then grabs the Greater Warden forcing the Grimm to look at Kairos. Kairos lifted the Greater Warden over himself and then turned around and slammed it down onto a building. This caused the building to collapse on itself, burying the Grimm underneath.
Ryder flew towards Kairos and floated beside him.
"Handled your fight well?" Ryder asks.
"Yeah. Four Wardens weren't easy to kill." Kairos said. "Neither is this thing I'd imagine."
"Yeah, this thing's a challenge on its own. You see that Grimm Dragon?" Ryder asks.
"Who didn't?" Kairos states, looking towards Beacon before then looking back to the Greater Warden.
The Greater Warden pushed the rubble of itself and shakes off the debris.
"Let's deal with this thing first then head to Beacon and deal with that Dragon." Kairos said.
"Sounds like a plan." Ryder said.
The Greater Warden glares up at its opponents before roaring at them. The Grimm then launches itself into the air towards its prey with its wings. Ryder dives down and cocks a fist back while infusing it with magic. They meet in the middle and clash their fists causing a shockwave to erupt between them. The Greater Warden's armor on its hand cracks. Ryder sees this and smiles before he spun around and backhanded the Greater Warden across the face. Ryder then dashes to the side as Kairos, who was preparing an attack, launched a one-handed beam down at the Grimm. The beam collides with the Greater Warden and causes an explosion to ring out. The Greater Warden breaks the beam with a Sonic Wave attack from its mouth. Kairos dodged the sonic wave and flew higher into the sky. The Greater Warden went to give chase, but Ryder came flying in and dropkicked the Grimm in the face.
This dropkick pushed the Greater Warden back and cracked its face plate as Ryder infused his feet with magic. The Greater Warden then tried to rush Ryder but was hit by a barrage of violet energy blasts from Kairos who spammed them Vegeta style. The blasts pushed the Greater Warden to the street below. Kairos stopped his attack and charged a single ball of energy. The Greater Warden gets up off the ground with its cracked armor. Suddenly a car slams into it. Kairos stops charging his attack and looked to the source to see Glynda with her weapon aimed at the Grimm. The Greater Warden roared at her. Glynda used her Telekinesis to lift two more cars and throw them at the Greater Warden. The Grimm watches as they get closer to it before unleashing a Sonic Wave that pushes the cars back to Glynda.
Glynda was surprised and went to shield herself, but Kairos landed in between her and the cars and formed a barrier. The cars crashed into the barrier and bounced off.
"While I would appreciate the back up. Me and Ryder can handle this." Kairos said, looking over his shoulder at his mentor. "Why are you even down here in the city?"
"Ozpin ordered me to the city. I saw you and Ryder and figured I could lend a hand." Glynda said.
"I don't mean to sound rude, but it's not needed." Kairos said.
The Greater Warden leaped towards its prey but was slammed into the ground by Ryder who dove down and punched the Grimm into the ground. This created a small crater in the ground. Ryder then unleashed a barrage of punches into the Greater Warden. He was doing this in an effort to break the Greater Warden's armor and he was targeting the back, the weak spot on other Warden's. Ryder took a gamble as he didn't know if this new Warden had the same weakness. Thankfully he did good damage before he stopped his attack. Ryder leaped off the Greater Warden and landed beside Kairos and Glynda. The Greater Warden pushes itself off the ground and growls at the humans before it.
Ryder gets an idea and looks at his hands. He thinks about his magic and thinks about a potential final move to use to end the Greater Warden.
"I have an idea." Ryder said.
"What is it?" Kairos asks.
"Hold it in place. I want to try something, a magical technique." Ryder said.
"Don't take too much time. Don't know if I could hold this thing for long." Kairos said before dropping the barrier he created.
The Greater Warden went to charge but was lifted off the ground by Kairos and Glynda. Ryder took a deep breath before he moved his hands to the side and formed two orbs of magic in each hand. He then brings the orbs in front of him and puts his hands out in front of him. He charges up the attack a little more to get as much power as possible. He also pushes his Semblance to its limits. He tried to force it to get stronger by using his anger and it works yet again. He gets up to 10X and his magic orb gets a bit bigger. Kairos and Glynda begin struggling to keep the Greater Warden in place.
"Now Ryder!" Kairos shouts.
Ryder exhales. Now or never. Ryder unleashes the magic energy he had built up and successfully fired it in a beam. He took a page from Vegeta's Final Flash. Ryder's Magic Final Flash races towards the Greater Warden while pushing wind in all directions and shaking the ground. The Greater Warden fired a Sonic Wave in an attempt to halt the attack. But the Sonic Wave is pushed to the side as the Magic Final Flash rushes for the Grimm. The Greater Warden roars in a final act of defiance before the beam hits the Grimm. The beam begins to dig into the Greater Warden and break its armor. Ryder pushes his magic further and the beam successfully digs into the Grimm. The Greater Warden screeches out in pain as its body begins cracking with an orange light piercing through those cracks. Ryder then halts his Magic Final Flash and watches as the Greater Warden glowed before it exploded in a bright but brief flash.
Ryder, Kairos and Glynda shield their eyes until the flash died down. The trio looked and saw that the Greater Warden was no more. Ryder turns his Semblance off as his Aura flickers once more. Most likely from pushing it beyond the trained limit. Ryder and Kairos then turn to Beacon where they see a bright flash of silver light.
"The hell?" Kairos asks.
"What was that?" Ryder asked.
"No idea." Glynda said. "We need to get to the safe zone."
"Where's that?" Ryder asked.
"In the City." Glynda said.
"Already, I head there. But first, I need to go secure the Dragon Balls from Beacon." Ryder said.
Glynda nods. Ryder uses his magic and leaps into the air before flying off to Beacon.
