As Ryder and Kairos stand back-to-back, the 3 Grimm Wardens stand at the ready waiting for the opportunity to attack. Warden 1, the most wounded of the trio, snarls at the two Huntsmen in training. The other two Warden's stand there waiting to attack. Kairos creates a small orb of Violet energy and tosses it into the air before it forms a large dome around them. Ryder and Kairos remained locked in on their targets before they both charged at their respective targets. The Wardens roar as they charge in. Ryder weaves around a claw from Warden 2 before backhanding another swipe from Warden 3. Ryder then kicks Warden 3 back before dodging another clawed swipe from Warden 2. chambering fire dust into his left gauntlet, he prepares his attack as his fist burst into flames. Warden 2 lunges at him but Ryder leaps over the Grimm and lands behind the Warden. Ryder then turned around and punched Warden 2 in its weak spot before blasting it with a surge of flames courtesy of Fire Dust. Warden 3 lands a successful punch on Ryder's face which causes Ryder to stumble backwards before he's punched again by the same Warden. Warden 3 then backs up as Warden 2 launches a fire blast from its mouth at Ryder.
Ryder sidesteps and dodges the flames before dashing forward to attack the two Warden's. Kairos dodges a clawed swipe from Warden 1 before he slides under the next one and gets behind the Grimm. With the sword he had previously conjured he thrusted it into the back of the Warden causing it to screech out in pain. Kairos then turns the sword into a blast of violet energy that explodes and successfully kills the Warden. With that one dead, Kairos rushes over to Ryder. Ryder jumps up and does a mid-air spin kick that crashes against the face of Warden 3 causing it to be knocked aside. Ryder lands and spins around again before leaping up while spinning and kicking the second Warden three times knocking it back as well. Both Warden's get back up, but Kairos leaped into the air and conjured two arrows made of violet energy that he throws at them both. Both arrows imbed themselves into the chests of the two Warden's.
Kairos lands in front of Ryder and snaps his fingers, causing the two arrows to explode which deals significant damage to the armor of the Warden's. As the smoke settles, both Wardens are covered in cracks on their armor. Ryder and Kairos stand side by side.
"Left's yours, Right's mine." Kairos said.
"Didn't know it was a competition." Ryder joked.
"It isn't." Kairos said before coating his body in violet energy.
He then transfers the violet energy to his hands that he puts out in front of him. Seeing what Kairos is doing, Ryder chambers Lightning dust in both gauntlets before he cups his hands to the side. He uses the Lightning Dust to form a ball of Lightning in his hands. The two Warden's manifest flames in their mouths and fire a beam of flames from their mouths. Kairos launches a blast of violet energy at the two Wardens while Ryder pushed the orb of Lightning forward and fired a beam of Lightning at the Wardens. The combined Violet energy and Lightning blast easily pushes through the flames and hits the two Wardens. The ensuing explosion shakes the ground and cracks the dome Kairos had created. Ryder and Kairos look into the smoke of the explosion and watch as it dissipates. To their shock the Wardens are still alive but badly damaged. The armor had completely been shattered revealing their obsidian skin underneath.
"You want to finish them off?" Ryder asks.
Kairos conjures two javelins and throws them at the two Wardens. Both javelins make their mark and go through the chests of the Wardens. The Warden's fall to the ground while turning to black mist. Ryder turns off his semblance and Kairos looks around. The Atlas Military arrives shortly after and helps clean up the Grimm. Ryder and Kairos merely watch this. They both them spot Roman Torchwick trying to sneak off so they rush over to him. Roman moves away from the scene but suddenly stops as violet colored energy surrounds his body. He sighs as he is turned around by Kairos.
"You two again." Roman said.
"Would say good to see you again, but that would be a lie." Ryder said, crossing his arms.
"I take it your responsible for this?" Kairos asks.
"Well i don't want to brag, but yes." Roman said, smiling slightly.
Kairos and Ryder share a glance before the Umbrakinesis wielding Huntsmen slams Roman on the ground causing him to grunt in pain.
"Ow! Watch the suit!" Roman shouts.
Ryder turns around and sees that all the Grimm have been neutralized. An Atlas Dropship lands in the area, so Kairos and Ryder take Roman towards it. Once they reach the dropship, they hand Roman off to the Atlesian Knights. When he reaches the dropship, Roman is handed off to the Atlas Knights.
"Oh, i can't believe that you caught me. You've really taught me the error of my ways." Roman said sarcastically.
An Atlas Knight then grabs him by the arm and guides the criminal onto the dropship.
"He-Hey, watch the hat!" Roman said in response to being guided away.
Ryder and Kairos then walk away from the dropship as Team JNPR exchanges smiles between themselves. Sun and Neptune bump fists while Team CFVY smile at each other as well. Port and Oobleck smile too as Glynda watches from behind them all. Ryder walks over to Team RWBY who turn to look at him.
"So, what the hell caused all of this?" Ryder asks.
"Well, we were in Mount Glenn before we discovered this underground city where the White Fang were loading a train. We had a battle on the train as it moved, and one thing led to another and here we are." Ruby explains in a simplified manner.
Ryder's eyes widened slightly. That must've been quite the day or night.
"Anyways, how did you get here so fast?" Yang asks.
"Oh, i uh, learned something new about my Semblance." Ryder said, lying a little.
"Like what?" Weiss asks.
"I can Fly now." Ryder said.
"Really!" Ruby exclaimed happily. "You can fly!"
"Well, kind of. I'm still learning how to from Ozpin who's helping me." Ryder said.
"Speaking of which, how has your training gone?" Blake asks.
"Good. Made significant progress." Ryder said.
"Who knows how strong you'll become with that Semblance of yours." Yang comments.
Now that he thinks about it, he never actually trained with his Semblance during his time under Ozpin. He really should get back to it and push his Semblance further to newer heights. Once everything further calms down, everyone returns to Beacon after successfully repelling the Grimm. Ryder immediately went to his dorm room to relax after the fight he had with 3 Wardens. That fact worried him even more. That means there are more Wardens, and they'll most likely keep coming. So, he needs to get stronger to kill those things easier.
