Aryan is cursing every God’s name he knows; this isn’t going well. People are panicking, running around as they were not prepared for an attack like this.
/"Where is the army?!,/" Aryan yells to the guards.
/"They--they aren’t prepared,/" the youngest answers stuttering.
/"What do you mean they aren’t prepared?!,/" Aryan grabs him from his collar.
/"This is the weakest point in our defense! The lord had a huge amount of forces dispatched near the Sacred Cave./"
Aryan looks back at Leona and Zed, terrified of what is going to happen.
/"How did they even pass the protection circle?,/" Leona wonders.
/"It must be getting weaker,/" Zed answers.
/"What? Why?./"
/"I don’t know, but I felt it when we entered. It must have to do with the Gods giving up on the people./"
/"You mean me. Are they trying to hurt me?,/" Leona says, frightened.
