Leona sits there, dwelling on those thoughts. She knows that in the end, he speaks the truth. The humans won’t understand how Dragons think, even if they are blessed with God’s blood. They become more powerful and wise but never think of these things.
She has become a human, her kin too, she thinks like them and acts like them. But in the end, a big part of her is still a dragon.
She sighs, pouting and sitting down, looking at the sky. /"I know/" she mumbles to him, breathing deeply.
/"Don’t feel bad about it though. We promised to take care of them and that’s what we do. If we go back to our promise we become corrupted/" he says, looking at his hands. Leona realizes that he must be feeling terrible and decides to get closer to him.
/"I believe I know how to save you/" she says, thinking of her powers locked away.
