Maeve’s words echo inside her head, following her wherever she goes. She left without an answer. She never thought that she had a role in this, not after her banishment. She had decided to stay out of this, but it seemed too hard to do so. But she isn’t wanted back at the palace, the Emperor had sent killers after her more than once.
There aren’t many allies left for her. Not at Yhine anyway.
She is more aware of the past and that scares her. Zephyr was banished in the past; she was considered the enemy till Aarav called her in his dying bed. He was sorry, he was poisoned.
What if she can fix their relationship before it’s too late? What if she can realize her vision that she, alongside Ren, will change the future? What if what she saw wasn’t meant to happen then, but it is meant to happen now?
All this could be true, but how will she be able to approach him?
