#Chapter39
The Ambaram
From the last room of a long corridor, shuffling was heard before the thick brown curtains were parted, revealing the old Chieftain and his wife, Ila.
/"What’s with the commotion, boy?/"
His heavy voice rings across the strongly built sanctum, causing everyone to jerk up in attention. Arthur, who was laying lapse on his chair, sprang up in alarm. The chief emerges out of the hallway with a smiling Ila in tow. The old woman had no idea what her favorite boy was about to do. All she cared that she was going to see his face after three long days. Once again, he has disappeared from the tribe in thin air. No one noticed his sudden departure except for her and the chief. Their features somewhat relaxed, knowing that he was fine. Their hearts settle back in the joyous pace, concluding that he was out of harm’s way.
