/"No. That one was on me./" Asa was hard work. He loved him. That day at Lucien's halloween party had been more than enough for Ronan to decide that, but he had energy for days. He was like the duracell bunny on acid. There was no slowing him down. /"He's so positive and upbeat that I didn't want to bring him down with my mood./"
/"This is your home for as long as you need it, bambino. Forever, if you like. Don't go back to him. Stay here with me. It'll be me and you, mi amore. Stay, and it won't get worse. He won't bother you again. Just say the word and he'll be out of your life forever./"
The offer was sweet. Tempting, even. He wanted that. But he didn't want that. He was torn. Adam had been nicer this past week. Not the way he had been before, but maybe they were working back to that.
But as he looked at his best friend, looked at him long and hard, he knew he wouldn't kick him out of his life. A week was agony. Forever? Forget it.
