They could have done it when they were younger and the money was easy come, easy go, but she'd made it plenty clear what she thought of their 'dirty money', and they'd vowed to never dishonor her that way.
With the house paid for, along with a few other bits that they'd gone over her head and sorted, it gave her the luxury to work at her own place. She'd quit her dead-end checkout clerk job and had made time for her passion: Baking. She now made cakes and desserts to order, small and local at first, but she was growing braver and slowly expanding.
/"I will make them if you come for them,/" she agreed. He could just picture her smile. It was like a lightbulb. It turned her face from pretty to down right beautiful. He'd fallen asleep to that smile too often to not be able to recall every detail of it. Yup. He was a mama's boy. Sue him. /"I'll make your brother his churros too, but they won't post in time./"
