Both twins came at him as one. Two sets of arms crushed him, and then through his tears, he saw a third set and a fourth.
/"Why Whow saddy?/" he heard Eye's demands. He was shoving at the twins until they broke apart enough for him. /"I'ma uppacut who made my Whow sad./"
/"I'll tie their laces together,/" Asa chimed in.
/"Wo-Wo!/" He faintly heard Lucien sniffle.
He was surrounded, he realised. The twins had parted and Eyes had backed up, and everyone was there around him. Sly had waddled over, watching through wide eyes, his mouth parted in worry, and even Blake was hovering, twitching as though unsure whether to jump in and help, or keep his distance. Only Oz, who slept through the commotion, was absent.
For a soft second, his sadness passed. He felt happy. He felt loved. As his eyes flickered around, drinking in the concerned faces of all those who'd jumped to his comfort, an undeniable feeling had the worst of the tears drying.
