Raven pulled up into his usual parking space and killed the engine and was about to cut the engine when Ronan answered. /"My number five is you, birdie./"
/"Huh?/" He'd been planning the route back up to the apartment, scanning the shadows, every corner, like he had every day since Adam had made his surprise appearance, and almost forgot that he was waiting for an answer.
/"You are my number five. But not cuz you last. Because the best is always saved for last. That's why I save the cherries on my cake./"
/"I'm your number five?/" he whispered, paused, reaching over the arm rest to pull his boy into a one-armed hug. /"Awww, babes, you're the best thing about my day too./"
/"Birdie?/" Ronan asked when Raven pulled away. He'd popped his seatbelt and had wrapped his shoelaces around his wrist like bracelets, which looked lovely next to the plastic crap that had come in his magazine, /"I ask you somethings 'portant?/"
