#Chapter109
The prison was never a place she wanted to visit. The cold dreary hallways that held no life, no fun, no nothing was very depressing to Janet. More guilt registered as she concluded she had to get her father out of there. It took a great deal of finessing to allow her to talk to him since he was in solitary, but it didn’t take much as the guards allowed her to walk down the long hallways with sealed doors as they escorted her to Dan’s cell.
They opened it to reveal Dan sitting on the floor forehead on his knees. His hair was all over and he seemed a bit smaller. He must not have been eating. Janet’s heart broke remembering how big and strong her father used to look to now to see him suffering was something she thought she would never see especially in this small period of time.
/"You came to visit me in here?/" His voice was low and distant.
/"Yes. I did. I talked to Ross about moving you…/"
/"Yeah he told me./"
