As school got into full effect, so did Christian, trying to worm his way into my affection. It didn’t help that my friends interfered with everything. And my dad was acting weirder than usual.
All I wanted to do was get through my senior year, go to college, become a weird cat lady, and die alone. Is that too much to ask?
I stood at my locker as Christian rambled on about God knows what because I wasn’t even listening to him.
Gavin walked by and grabbed me. /"Excuse us, loser Larry./" He dragged me away.
/"Gavin!/"
/"You’ll thank me later./"
I stumbled while we walked.
At lunch, Christian made his way over to us as Kevin tripped him.
/"How was your trip? See you next fall./" Kevin laughed, then walked away.
Christian glared at him.
