#Chapter94
Carnivals and jealousy
Elias
We were heading to the carnival with our families. My brothers and I got a lecture about not causing our parents trouble, as did our cousins. I didn’t care because I was taking Tori. Since she couldn’t ride the carnival rides, we found other things to do.
I knocked on the door. Tori smiled as she left. We walked back to the car, got in, and left. Tonight would bring out the worst in someone, and another person would get hurt. Call it intuition, but I couldn’t shake it.

I picked up Conner for the carnival. I figured he could have some fun. He protested, but Uncle Nixon stepped in and assured him he should go. Conner was reluctant but caved. It’s not like it was a date because Conner wasn’t my type.
We got into the car as Conner sat there.
