#Chapter47
Fatherhood
Matt
Markus, Mason, Casey, and I went to the batting cages to blow off some steam. With the kids getting older, life got busier. It didn’t help that they got into trouble often.
/"How is it? We got stuck with the demon spawn,/" Mason said.
I swung at a pitch.
/"Dumb luck,/" Markus said, hitting a ball into his cage.
/"I thought parenthood would be fun. Have kids, they say. It’ll be fun, they say,/" Casey said, hitting a ball.
/"Did your boys rat you out again?/" Markus asked Casey.
/"Yep,/" Casey said, smacking another ball.
I hit a few balls as I thought about the kids. They’re getting out of school for the summer and need to burn off steam. Nora and I talked about taking them on vacation when they got older. I’m sure I can find a few cousins to help me run the shop.
/"Why don’t we take our families on vacation?/" I asked.
