#Chapter48
Leaving for Hawaii
Elias
Our parents took us on vacation after we finished school for the summer. They thought it would be a fantastic idea to leave at the butt crack of dawn. Hell, it isn’t even dawn. It’s night.
I slept soundly. Well, because I’m deaf and don’t have my hearing aids in my ears. I didn’t feel my phone vibrate, but ice water hit me. I jolted up to see Dad standing there with a bucket.
What the fuck?
/"Get up before we miss our flight,/" Dad signed.
I looked at Dad like he has two heads. I grabbed my hearing aids and put them in, turning them on.
/"I don’t care if it’s summer break! I told you to get up! Well, you should have gone to bed as we told you! Don’t give me that look, Nathaniel!/" Mom said.
/"Get dressed. I have to help your ma wrangle your brothers,/" Dad said.
I nodded.
