I stared at Merlin in shock. The world of magic? Was he kidding?
"What do you mean, the world of magic?" I asked, still trying to wrap my head around what was happening.
"Exactly what I said," Merlin replied, his smile turning into a grin. "You are no longer in the mundane world that you knew. You have been reborn into a world filled with magic and adventure."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This had to be some kind of joke. But as I looked into Merlin's serious eyes, I realized that he was telling the truth.
"How is this possible?" I asked, my voice shaking. "I was just sitting at my desk, and then suddenly I was here. How did I get here?"
"That is a question that I do not have an answer to," Merlin said with a shrug. "But the fact remains that you are here, in the world of magic. And I have been sent to guide you on your journey."
I took a deep breath, trying to process everything that was happening. It was a lot to take in, but somehow, I knew that Merlin was telling the truth. I was really in a world filled with magic.
"What do I do now?" I asked, looking at Merlin for guidance.
"First, we must determine your magical abilities," Merlin said, his smile returning. "Come, let us go to the academy. The headmaster will be able to help us figure out what kind of magic you possess."
I followed Merlin as he led me through the forest, my mind racing with all the possibilities of what lay ahead. The world of magic was a strange and wonderful place, and I couldn't wait to see what it had in store for me.
As we walked, Merlin told me about the different types of magic that existed in this world. There were the elemental magics, like fire and water, and the more obscure magics, like necromancers.
