Chapter 9 - Heavenly Treasure Hall

"Hey Amit, do you know who that fella is?"

"How would I know? He just wanted me to drop him off in the Avalon Kingdom's port town. But I believe that he is going for Zhang sect outer disciple selection"

Amit looked back at the cabin one last time and went ahead to drive the ship; he didn't want to disturb Ron. He wanted to slap himself when he remembered how he treated Ron like a child along the way. Cultivators are known to be arrogant towards ordinary people like him, and he hoped that Ron wouldn't remember all that and take it out on him later.

The rest of the journey was very quiet, and they soon reached Avalon Kingdom's port town. Ron stepped off the ship and handed Amit 15 copper.

"Sir, there's no need for this! It's an honor that a cultivator travelled on our ship. How can I charge you?"

"Just keep it."

Ron insisted on paying for the trip, and seeing this, Amit had a really good impression of Ron. He thanked him and said he could contact him at any time after travelling across the sea.

Ron decided to first visit Agnum, the nearest city to the Zhang Sect. He overheard someone on the ship say that a big auction is going to happen there tonight. It would be a great chance for him to sell some of his stuff and also buy anything that's going to be useful for him.

"I feel so lonely; I wish my brother could travel here with me. Hey system, can I allow someone else to travel to the blue realm with me?"

[Responding to the host, currently it's not possible to allow someone else to enter the blue realm]

"You said 'currently', does that mean there's still a chance in the future?"

[Access level insufficient; please complete more system missions to gain access to this information]

Ron understood that as long as he completes more system missions, he will not only get more benefits but also more authority over the system.

"Where would you like to go, sir?"

A young man got off the horse wagon and asked Ron. There were a lot of wagons, both private ones and those running transport services, near the port, which is bustling with activity as it's one of the main ports of Avalon.

"Agnum City"

"Sure, I can take you there; that'll be 15 copper."

Ron agreed and boarded the wagon. Just when they were exiting the port town, a group of people arrived on horses. They informed everyone that the beasts in the nearby forest are acting up and asked everyone to avoid that route.

"Sir, It looks like the Sheikh clan is clearing up those beasts. We will have to take a detour. Don't worry, I know other routes that will take us there pretty early."

"Are these people from the Sheikh clan, a local overlord?"

"No, sir, they are one of the major clans in Avalon Kingdom, as well as one of the most unique ones."

"Why is that?"

"Although they are a major cultivation clan, they always look after the ordinary citizens. To be honest, other than them, no one else will take a step for the betterment of us. Just now, the reason they asked us to take another route is because some of the people travelling that route have been attacked by beasts. To make sure no one else gets hurt, the Sheikh clan people are helping those from the government to clear all the beasts."

Ron nodded in satisfaction, relieved that there are at least some forces that care about ordinary people.

After a while, large walls covering a very vast area came into their vision. It's the city of Agnum. It covers a very large area of 20 square kilometers, divided into three zones. the outer zone, where the citizens lived; the market zone, where all the facilities like markets, auction halls, guilds, etc. are placed; and the central zone, where the people belonging to the city lord lived, along with the armies of Agnum city.

"Sir, I can only drop you off here, as entering the city requires a toll."

"How much is it?"

Ron thought it was inconvenient for him to change wagons again after going into the city.

"That's one silver per person, and five silver for horses or wagons."

Damn! That's daylight robbery! No wonder not everyone can enter the city. He signed and got out of the wagon after paying for the wagon.

When he arrived near the city gates, one of the guards wanted to stop him. But when Ron took out a silver coin, he took a step back and allowed him in.

Ron thought that the city's construction was similar to that of ancient cities on earth. He decided to take a carriage to enter the market, although it's expensive. He wanted to reach the auction hall early so that he wouldn't miss out on the auction.

He paid two silvers for the carriage and entered the market. It is bustling, and people are rushing here and there. He entered the core area of the market zone, and although it was not as busy as the other area, there were quite a few people here. The reason it was a little less crowded is because even the cheapest item in this area costs more than a gold coin.

Ron was passing by a cloth shop, where he noticed a robe. It was a silver-colored robe with a staggering price tag of 25 gold coins! That's equal to 2500 silver coins!

"I felt like a rich guy when I had a few silvers, but here, I'm no less than a beggar"

Ron sulked as he walked toward Heavenly Treasure Hall. It was a major merchant force, with branches in almost every city on the planet. They buy and sell all sorts of heavenly treasures and bizarre items.

His only fear is that if the people in Heavenly Treasure Hall do not accept his items, it'll be a disaster for him.

After entering the Heavenly Treasure Hall, he was greeted by one of the male assistants. After looking at Ron's attire, he felt that it was that of a "good for nothing" fella who just wanted to play around here without buying anything.

Due to the Treasure Hall's rules, he forced a smile.

"What do you want to buy, sir? Are you looking for anything specific?"

Ron shook his head and answered,

"No, I'm here to sell some of my stuff"
