"You know what Matthew, you're really going to get a punch from me one of these days!", Trisha said, turning back to face Matthew.
"Choose you're next words wisely pretty boy, she can get a little feisty!", Elle said, standing between Matthew who had an annoying smirk on his face, and Trisha who looked like she was really going to throw a punch.
"Good then, I like feisty!", Matthew said as his face got closer to Elle.
"What, Collin didn't make it known to the whole world??", Matthew asked as he suddenly looked at Trisha. The question however confirmed Trisha's burning questions.
Out of spite, Matthew continued, "He's been banging your step sister!". He laughed when he saw the gloom in Trisha's eyes. He soon walked off, the annoying smirk still on his face as he was satisfied with the state he left her in.
What Matthew didn't know was that Trisha was well aware of the fact that Adriana and Collin were sleeping around.
Elle sighed as she followed Trisha who walked mindlessly towards the table where they had sat earlier.
"Hey, who's drinking these!?", The bartender asked over the loud music. She sighed and walked towards the bartender before dropping some bills on the counter.
"Fancy seeing you here!", Elle suddenly heard the familiar voice, it didn't take long before Elle connected the voice to the person who she thought it was
In fear of not being recognized, which was too late, she turned sideways and walked into the crowd that had come to form in such a short time.
Elle felt bad seeing her best friend who's mood had turned 50 shades gloomier.
The mood had rubbed off on Paula too, it was no surprise that the duo requested to go home.
"I think it best we go home. We're sorry we had to ruin the night. Such a pity, we dressed up so beautifully!", Paula said as they went out of the club.
As they went out, several pairs of eyes watched them leave. The familiar voice Elle heard before was that of her senior colleague, Alex Martins.
In better terms, " the hot hunk of the station!". He was the dreamy guy Elle usually avoided, the ones who were out to break her heart.
Of course, that was just Elle's thought, the lover boy couldn't get his mind off Elle.
"Not bad Crawford, not bad!", Martins said as he sipped his drink.
Seeing officer Elle smile was a chore, yet the fact that he saw her in a club, in a very beautiful dress, to him, it felt like the accomplishment he felt when he cracked a new case.
Elle got the ladies home, yet she decided to stay because she didn't want the ladies to feel lonely. They were practically family.
Trisha locked the door to her room as soon as she entered, it didn't look like she was in for a chat that night.
Elle soon got out of her dress, she was no stranger to them, so she could do pretty much anything she wanted.
"I hope she's okay!", Paula said as soon as she got the gist from Elle.
"Yes, she does!", Elle replied.
She kissed Paula goodnight and headed to the guestroom. Trisha had practically locked her out of the room, so it was clear she wasn't going to be sleeping In Trisha's room.
Trisha who wasn't sure of the relationship she had with Collin finally confirmed where she was after what happened that night.
However, she didn't want to let it go, she had loved this guy for so long, yet, was he just going to move on so fast, with her step sister!!
Trisha wanted to talk to him, to hear what he had to say about the whole thing, so she called him.
After two missed calls and a few rings, Collin finally answered the phone.
"Hello!", Collin said, obviously annoyed that Trisha was disturbing his sleep.
The gruff voice she used to find as hunky suddenly turned annoying!
"We need to talk Collin!"
