Silence ensued over the phone before Collin sighed. 'She was plain stupid!', Collin thought, he couldn't quite put a finger on why she decided to call him in the middle of the night.
"We need to talk about what!?!", Collin asked, his gruff voice expressing his annoyance.
"Come over tomorrow, to my house. There are certain things we need to clear up!", Trisha answered, as she swallowed a whimper.
"Fine then. I'll come later. You better make sure you don't call me like this next time!", Collin scolded, an attempt to make his annoyance known.
"Don't fret. There won't be a next time!", Trisha said before she hung up the call.
That night she cried herself to sleep, Collin hadn't loved her in the way she had loved him.
Instead, he was cheating on her, not with anybody but her stepsister!
She made sure to cry it all out because, after the talk they were going to have in a few hours, it was going to be over.
The next morning, Elle was the first to wakeup, or so she thought. Paula was in the kitchen, but like most days when she would wake up bright and early to cook for the family, she was drinking and bawling her eyes out.
"Ohhh my God, Paula!!", Elle shrieked rushing towards Paula who was partially wasted.
"It still hurts here, it really hurts!", Paula whispered, pointing to her heart before she burst into another round of tears.
"It's okay! You'll get through this. Now all you need to do is have a nice nap!!", Paula said as she led Paula all the way up to her room.
As she walked towards the kitchen to fix herself a meal, she heard noises again. Turns out Trisha was there munching on the sandwich she had just made.
"A comfort place indeed!", Elle thought as she walked towards Trisha.
"I knew you couldn't stay away from food for that long!", Elle said as she sat by the counter.
"Ohh, it wasn't that long, I came to get snacks in the middle of the night!", Trisha said, Elle's jaw dropped!
Who eats food that much when going through a breakup?!
"I thought you were going through a breakup?", Elle asked. She knew Trisha was a foodie, yet during a breakup!!
Unbelievable!!
"Speaking of breakups, I called him last night and I invited him over…!", Trisha paused gauging Elle's expression.
"Go on!", Elle urged, curious about what Trisha had planned
She continued, "I'm going to break up with him! Cheating is the one thing I cant get past, and I won't lower my standards for anybody!"
"I totally understand!", Elle said, wrapping Trisha in a hug.
"Will you just stay around the sitting room, like chaparone me, but you won't really be there!", Trisha asked
"Of course I will!", Elle said.
Trisha explained the specifics of the meeting she was hosting to Elle, Collin was expected around noon, and Trisha was going to break up with him.
The ladies had breakfast, catching up about each other's life, after all, their relationship wasn't going steady for the past few days.
"So, I noticed a guy the other night, he called you when I left. So is he like your one night stand or something?
How'd he know your surname?", Trisha asked, followed by a wink.
Elle's face had turned a deep shade of pink, it wasn't easy to get out of Trisha's teasing, instead she decided to cooperate.
"He's he's my senior officer at work!", Elle said, her eyes moving around the room to meet anything except Trisha's eyes.
"Well well well, if it isn't the one and only Elle blushing because of a boy!", Trisha said, still teasing Elle.
"You like him!", Trisha said, more like declared.
"It doesn't matter, he's a playboy anyways!"
"How'd you know that!?!", Trisha asked.
"For one he doesn't like me. Second, he seems like he wants to get in my pants. Plus, every other female likes him too, it's better if I just avoid him!", Elle said.
"It's perfectly fine, I'm not even forcing you! Come on, go freshen up, I'll stay behind to clean this mess!", Trisha said, pointing towards the kitchen.
Elle didn't waste any more time, she ran away as soon as she got the chance.
Trisha took a good look at her friend as she went up the stairs…
For all she knew, Elle deserved love, love that lasts!!
She wasn't specifically the type of lady to have an hour glass figure, she had a pear shaped figure.
Ofcourse, you wouldn't actually notice because either she was wearing baggy clothes or she was in her police uniform.
The uniform was the most annoying In Trisha's opinion, the stupid clothing did no justice to define her beautiful figure. Maybe the senior officer in question finally noticed.
