It was the smallest village in the kingdom.
Originally a settlement created to facilitate trade between two nations separated by a monster-infested forest, Luran Village had lost most of its use over time after Rosen Elk, a major town of the kingdom, was built at a location that completely bypassed the forest. Despite having to take a far longer path to the next territory, it was much safer. There were few reasons to take the risk, so Luran Village eventually fell into severe poverty.
But being in poverty did not mean complete ruin.
As a place with lush forests around them, as well as being near a large river, Luran Village might not prosper financially, but at least they were self-sufficient.
