An hour later…
Benjamin's father was in visible distress, his face etched with pain as he clutched his aching chest. His stomach troubles and bouts of vomiting had compounded his agony, and he groaned softly, feeling the burning sensation within.
"My chest… It's burning." He rubbed his chest uncomfortably.
Benjamin stood by his father's side, his eyes filled with remorse and sorrow. He knew that his actions, switching his father's medication earlier, had contributed to his current condition. It was a difficult choice, made with the intention of getting his father out of the house and to safety, but it weighed heavily on his conscience to see his father suffering.
"You will be fine," he assured him. "I'll take you to the hospital."
