Brad became nervous when he faced his meaningful smirk. He, who could always read his mind, couldn't figure out what he was thinking. He suspected Christopher still didn't believe what he was saying.
It made Brad anxious because he felt Christopher saw it as another opportunity for him to court a woman.
"Don't look at me like that," he grunted out. "I am serious about her, and this is not just casual dating, you know."
"Oh, really?" Christopher continued pretending to be surprised.
Brad grew agitated. He picked up the pillow and clutched it to his chest, not knowing what to do or how to convince him.
"She is the woman I've loved since school. I could never approach her because she never paid attention to me." He sulked, the corners of his lips drooping.
