Amidst the 2 vs 1 Battle to the death
"Hahaha!! Is this the best you mutant freaks can do? Pity! If only there was another one of you ass hats, I might actually work up a sweat."
I said, taunting the two Duke stage mutant lieutenants. There faces turned blood red as they wanted to hurl insults at me. Sadly, they were completely forced back by the combined assault of bloodlust Avatar and various spells.
I on the other hand, solely fired spell after spell while my avatar did all the work. In this regard, the battle appeared to be a 2 vs. 2 deathmatch. However, make no mistake, I am indeed fighting on my own. For Duke stage mutant Battlemasters, they are weak as hell.
Now that I think about it, how the hell did these mutant monsters develop into Battlemasters? Something doesn't make sense. Its common knowledge, monsters do not… or should I say cannot follow the paths to power unless specific conditions are met.
Either they were originally members of the races, but were turned into monsters. This is made evident in Vampires. Originally, the demonic dragons violated those near death or already a corpse. Those near death died as a result of being a dragons "plaything". After almost 3 days, those killed during this event, would return as the monster Strigoi. Strigoi are mournful souls who suffered from untimely death at the hands of the demonic dragons. This ethereal monster would take on many different forms as they hunt the living, creating more Strigoi.
Defiled corpses on the other hand transformed quite differently. Once the demon dragon was done with them, the defiled corpse would be cast into corpse piles. The corpse would take approximately 63 days before rising from the corpse piles as a newly created monster. This is how the first generation of Vampires came to be.
Another condition is if the monster is the offspring between demonic dragons and members of the races. In this case, there have been many a women defiled by demonic dragons. Despite attempting to kill themselves, they always gave birth to a monster hybrid. Thereafter, each woman would be an unwilling incubator of their unholy hell spawn, defiled by the very thing they birthed.
The last condition is when a monster race is forcefully turned into a member of the races. The best and most recent example are the Dity-Drakony race I created. From what I gather, these mutants are dungeon monsters with Midgardsormr's DNA spliced into them. So how are they able to use aura in the first place? Well, that's a science project for another time. Right now, its time to forge rivers of blood!
Beholding my opponents, I initially gauged their combat ability and probed for exploitable weaknesses. For starters, they are Duke stage battlemaster, but have only just recently formed their Aura avatar. Their avatars took on the appearance of a whip with barbs all over and a serrated scimitar. At first I thought the one with the scimitar gave off the aura of a peak Duke stage. However, I quickly found out the radiation they projected was some kind of illusive facade.
Long story short, they have an innate ability to radiate a more ferocious killing intent; i.e. paper tiger. Their whip wielding friend had no such ability, but was able to turn any body part into a whip like figure. Seeing the mutant try lashing out at me with their eyes brought a creepy new meaning to "if looks could kill."
Anyway, their coordination was the most evident exploitable weakness as they couldn't even deal with my Bloodlust Avatar in spite of their strength. It was as if they were toddlers attempting to climb a steep flight of stairs. In this case the stairs always win! Frustrated from getting beaten brutally by my avatar, they would occasionally bicker between themselves.
"You stupid animal!! Get out of my way! I will deliver the traitor to the Scourge!" The whip user said, to which the scimitar wielder responded,
"Fat chance, wretch!! It was I who received the master's blessing first! Therefore, I will deliver them!!"
"Oh Shut up, the both of you!! How about I deliver unto you death. You can then bicker to each other in hell!!"
Tired of hearing their marital spats mid fight, I decided to put an end to their disgusting soap opera. I began to evoke Elemental Fallout, only this time I decided to not toss it at my enemies. Instead, I began shaping the spell into a spear, then wrapped it with my black, lightless aura. The spell swiftly folded, shifted and molded into a heavy spear 3m in length. The spear blade was half a meter long and curved upwards, forking into three parts at the tip.
Once formed, I focused my attention on the still fighting Bloodlust Avatar. My avatar current was as tall as I am with only six arms instead of 12. Each of its hands held a sword shrouded in one of the Elemental Saber Arts spells. Giving the command, my avatar shot out a sword wave in the direction of the whip wielding mutant, separating it from its ally. I then charged at the scimitar wielding mutant using the spear form of Elemental Fallout.
As I approached, mutant cussed at me,
"You think splitting us apart will save you? You're a fucking fool!!"
"Last time I checked, your bitch ass could even fight my avatar with you mutant trash partner. What makes you think you can fight me!? Don't bother answering, cause I don't give a shit!!"
I rebutted the mutant, then swiftly attacked the monster preventing it from saying anything else. With the length of my weapon, I was able to create distance between me and him. The moment he stepped into my striking circle, a chromatic slash would greet him.
The creature looked to be trying to fight the weight of my strikes, but couldn't handle it. As a result, they were glued to the spot where they stood, unable to advance nor retreat. Seeing my prey was unable to even move, I scoffed art the sight. I couldn't help myself. How can something at the Duke stage be overpowered by someone who doesn't have an Aura Avatar nor an Arcane Incarnation?
Such a creature was a complete disgrace, and no mercy, pity or empathy is allowed to be offered them. Their very existence is an insult to all who have strived for greater power, but died before achieving it. Not holding back in my somewhat evil laughter, I said,
"Hahaha… Pathetic!! You dare try to mimic the races with this weak display!? Die now, and become fuel for my advance!"
Done speaking, I evoking a massive elliptical Nether Flarebolt bullet. Sensing its inevitable doom approaching, the mutant monster attempted to fight back even harder. (Its much too late for that now.) Still, he twisted his waist in a very unnaturally way. He managed to dodge the spell which continued to fly towards an ill-prepared mutant monster 20m behind him.
Such a swift move opened his body up towards my spear, bisecting the monster from right shoulder to left foot. The spear slash also shatter his Aura Avatar into pieces, to which I instinctually collected for future experiments.
"Hmph… One down, one to go."
I said, while glancing at my Bloodlust Avatar. It slowly closed in on the whip using mutant monster. Pushing that filth closer to death's embrace.
